A very unpredictable and better than the previews episode.

Firstly, I was amazed that the subplot fitted so well with the main plot even though they were not interconnected at all. It was nice that it was just Noah and Betty for once, no Penelope or Betty's parents who all show up too frequently in the episodes. Betty's uncle I immediately disliked- he seemed very lazy and …all too untraditional farmer-ish. However, he was a good character.

As for the main plot, I love Sparky's off beat humor that gave just the right spin on things- a really perfect touch to what could have been a disastrous episode. The old fashioned pirates mixed with outer space tech was done splendidly, I couldn't have done it better myself. And the ending? Classic, the villains chasing the super villains.

I was so surprised when Maximus got the treasure first, and then I couldn't predict what would happen next. I thought Betty would team up with the pirates but she didn't. I then didn't think that Minimus would be stupid enough to open the doomsday box. Wow, redefines stupidity, But all very comical and so cool. It reminded me a bit of the ghost ship of Abedeffia but just because of the pirates. Fans of that episode will like these two.

    Revenge of Masticula

    This was…strange, very strange…

No other episode like it, I can tell you that much. I'm still not sure if it's good or bad though. Masticula was creative, a giant bubblegum piece that could change form at will. The way they imprisoned her at the beginning was creative and I liked the way that Betty was shown starting off another mission other than the main one. Sparky's carelessness was a bit odd, and I'm still not sure if ice can melt that fast.

Betty was very creative defeating Masticula in the end, and it leaves room for the villain to come back which is always cool. I also liked the fact that the people on the trial were previous characters, not just some nobodies.

Very good subplot, her little cousin got what he deserved. Snot ball…
