These episodes were a very refreshing change. Well done to whomever thought up the ideas.

    Solar System Surfin

Once again it opens with Sparky and X-5 which is always a plus. Loving the way that you come in thinking the simulator was real. And it was nice how the beginning totally tied in with the entire episode in a very real way not like they were purposely trying to shove it in.

Being underwater the whole episode was also very nicely done. The wild west theme added a comical twist that would not have been as great anywhere else. Though the villain was a little loony (as are all the other villains) it was good.

The nuclear vacuum bit was what really made me laugh out loud. It portrays X-5 as being somewhat humanoid but with a robot function. Very well done on the writers part. Also quite creative how it came back to save them in the end, he he.

The subplot was good in itself, it shows how Noah actually can take care of himself instead of Betty always helping him all the time. Penelope also got her just deserts which is always good.

    Winter Carnival

Excellent change to have no Maximus in this episode and for once it was a girl villain. Now don't call me biased but I like to see girl and guy villains in a show.

Dinkleberry was rather odd and reminded me of another character from another show which oddly enough, had a villain called Icy. But aside from that, Iciclea was a good villain in herself, if extremely vain. The way she took her beauty so seriously was laughable and the way she valued the berries at the end was truly comic in the representation of desire for beauty.

Once again Sparky being… Sparky helps to save the day. Rock on!

I also liked how Sparky and X-5 were imprisoned and Betty had to save them on her own which was another refreshing change and it goes with the whole episode.

The subplot was funny with Betty getting revenge on Dillan. Noah's blatant humor was… humorous. Very nicely done episode.

Overall, a nine out of ten for both episodes. They just keep getting better!moreless
