Augie's dad brings home a toy fox for Augie to chase. Augie feels that he's to old to be chasing toy foxes and he wants to chase and catch a real fox. His dad reluctantly agrees to let him go try but Augie has to be home before dinner.
Augie finds a fox that is trying to fix some chicken feather soup. Augie starts biting the fox and dragging him home. Augie accidentally drags the fox into some water and the fox leaves Augie in the water. Augie tries several more times to catch the fox and each time he catches and bites him the fox gets away.
Augie is about to give up since he knows that he won't be able to catch the fox before dinner. The fox hears the word dinner and that's all it takes. The fox gives up willingly to be taken home by Augie and he gets to eat dinner while Augie is biting his leg.
