  • Characters seemed like real people, much better than the other MTV produced crap show \"The Real World.\" Laura was hilarious as well as Chips nieve antics. The entire cast was great.. I can\'t say enough about them.

This show is handsdown, one of the best shows to come to television. This show was funny and did not have a laughtrack or as Andy Kaufman would put it, \"canned laughter.\" There are too many classic events to talk about during Austin Stories 12 episodes. The main thing I wish would happen is a dvd to come out with the episodes. I lost a tape I had of it with all 12 episodes on it. Now I\'m betting I\'ll never see the show ever again. It\'s too far ahead of it\'s time now as it was then. I\'m not British, but I would bet the Brits would have made this a cult classic there, maybe their Monty Python of the 90\'s.

This is my first review and I usually would take time to watch out for grammar, but I decided to do this because I found this site and this show needed a write up.
  • By far the funniest show that MTV has ever aired.

This short lived show was incredibly funny. "It looks like you've got a sick pack of hot dogs on the back of your neck"...."You smell like diapers. I'm gonna call you Dipes from now on." It's that kind of slacker comedy that just worked. The acting was minimalist, and a definite precursor to such fare as "undeclared," "freaks & geeks" etc. PLEASE put this out on DVD. I'll buy it.
