The Fortuneteller was an awesome and perfect episode of Avatar The Last Airbender. I enjoyed watching this episode because we got to see more development with Aang and Katara as they both try to figure out their own and each other's feelings. The begining of this episode was cool as a man was being attacked by a Platypus-Bear. The new characters we were introduced to, Aunt Wu and her assistant who has a crush on Aang, were very interesting and intriguing. I thought the over all story of this episode was cool. I really liked how Aang and Katara used bending to shape the clouds. This episode showcases the series ability to convey wisdom and life lessons through fun and creative story telling.moreless

Although the theme of the episode was decently executed, and it wasn't really lacking in quality, what it was lacking in is length. So far in the show, if there's one thing that stands out the most about Avatar, it is that it is surprisingly well polished and defined. Although it's been able to get away with just being a half hour in length, in episodes like these where it skips out on a lot of character and story development due to its short time frame, it takes its toll. As a result the story wasn't as interesting, and the characters that were used here felt nothing more than puppets to get the episode by.moreless

Surprisingly i really liked it! i havn't seen the begining of the series but ive seen enough! i like this episode it even had a moral to it! i think that nick did a good job of creating convincing characters who each had diffrent personalitys! they made you feel more part of the show than if you were just sitting there watching it. by the end i was rooting for ang to end up with the girl, and for her to just realize that she liked him! i'm not a fan of nickalodian but they really did a good job on this tv show!moreless

I really liked this episode! I got chills down my spine in the end when Aang was airbending the lava to stop it from destroying the village. On a nearby hill, Katara and Sokka are watching. Sokka tells Katara that he often forgets how powerful a bender Aang is. Katara stiffens, and asks Sokka to keep repeating it. She is shocked because the fortune teller told her she would fall in love and marry a powerful bender one day. Aang spied on the fortune teller and Katara when this was said, and he was happy because he thought the powerful bender was him.moreless

  • Now we got an episode based on fortune telling!

As our heroes continue on their great adventure, they stumble upon a man in trouble! This is the first episode where we see a platypus bear! The gang tries to figure put ways to save him, but Appa does that by caring the platypus bear away since he has a louder roar and is bigger than he is. That was funny when he dropped an egg! Next they come to a town that has a master fortune teller, where she is really good at predicting the future and what is in store for other people who see her. Ya know what's really juicy? Aang and Katara trying to find out who could be their best love, signs that they were meant for each other and to get shipped people! That part was awesome, there's also a girl in this episode who has a crush on Aang, but later in the epsiode she finds out about what Aang was trying to do, and she said its tough when you love someone but they don't love you back. The ultimate plot for this episode was that some of the fortune teller's predictions were wrong when they saw an active volcano's lava rising, and the best part was that they changed the clouds to change fate! Good thing the town was saved, but Sokka doesn't like that guy when he keeps saying the fortune teller's predictions still ended up being right after all!moreless
