  • IT'S UP... AND IT'S NO GOOD

Awake: Bad Bets and Big Mouths

In "Game Day," a football game ended with different outcomes in each of Michael's realities, creating two cases under one philosophy.

  • Episode Summary

Michael experiences two different versions of the same football game and deals with murders that resulted from the altered outcomes. Meanwhile, Vega plans a going-away party for Michael, and in the other reality Rex has his heart broken.

    • Great Murder Cases + Great Storyline = Great Episode of "Awake"!

This was a great episode! I was disappointed at the end of the last episode that they had a great opportunity to stop the move to Oregon, and they didn't. But, in this episode, they had an even better opportunity! I can't wait for what's next! Also, both murder cases were great! This was a really great episode!

After last weeks episode, this one was back on form. WHile the shrinks and Hannah played small roles, the fact that they were in it filled that void that last weeks episode had. Both cop story lines were interesting with a great twist at the end. Neither was complicated but kept me interested. While the Rex storyline seemed to be going in an obvious direction, it pulled out a double twist. I felt that it was completely obvious that Rex's girlfriend was pregnant way before it was revealed, however it was clever as it set up the real twist(s) of her losing the baby, then actually still being pregnant in the red world. While this wasn't the best way to keep them in LA, they needed something to happen fast. It will be interesting to see if Michael messes up and tells Rex that his girlfriend is still pregnant confusing his worlds. I can't wait to hear what the Shrinks have to say about this development. This show is amazing, and I cannot wait for next week. PLEASE NBC do NOT cancel it.moreless

      • Michael: In one world, a field goal misses by inches. In the other, it's good. It all just feels so arbitrary. Frankly, now that I can see how easily it can go either way, I wonder why we get so wrapped up in it to start with. I mean, if you really think about it, does it really matter who wins or loses?

      • Michael: I know you don't want to hear this right now, but you have to trust me. There will be other girls.
Rex: Who said this was about a girl?
Michael: Nobody lies in bed all day listening to depressing music because they have a stomach cramp.

      • Michael: Rex, giving your ex-girlfriend a polygraph is not one of your better ideas.
