And the Sky Full of Stars was a really great episode of Babylon 5. I really enjoyed watching this episode because it had a lot of character development and we learn some secrets the characters have. I think this episode had a unique story and was a great way of delivering certain information to viewers. I find it very curious how the Minbari don't want Sinclair to remember what happened in the Battle of the Line. The ending of this episode was very intriguing and leaves plenty of room for wonder. I look forward to watching more of Babylon 5!!!!!!!
Sinclair is captured and interrogated by two men who want to find out what happened to him for the 24 hours he disappeared at the end of the Minbari war. That pretty much sums up this episode, which is a huge improvement over the last one. We find out a lot more about Sinclair than we have in previous episodes and see what happened to him during the period he disappeared, although we still don’t know why and won’t find that out until season 3.
I think this episode just overtakes Mind War as the best so far down to the fact Straczynski finally starts to reveal some of the secrets and gives more of an idea as to where the show will be heading, by showing that it’s not just going to drag on without revealing anything. Overall a great episode and nice to see O’Hare getting into his character.
This is episode what on first glance might not have so much importance and the action on it might look little bit easier and slower than some previous but the storyline it is unwraping and the hints it adds - we knew previously that Delenn belong to Grey Council and now there is more pieces of that puzzle unveiled. And the story gets more and more interesting. The background of the Earth Minbari conflict is little more explained and thanks to those flashbackis Sinclair is having, we are getting some ideas why the minbaris surrendered in the eve of their victory.
Unlike most Babylon5 episodes, which have two or more strands of plot interwoven into each, this episode revolves around one single story - indeed, much of it around two people, Commander Sinclair and the enigmatic 'Knighr One'
Two 'Knights' link up on the station and build a cybernetic device that enables one of the Knights to enter Sinclairs mind (yeah...it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it seems to work). Anyway, they capture Sinclair and attempt to get him to reveal what happened in those 24 hours that he 'blacked out'. At the same time, Garibaldi and the others are racing against time to find the Commander.
Whilst its not really explained exactly why the two guys are so keen to interrogate Sinclair (it is hinted at in the final scenes) it works because we are already aware that there is some sort of 'secret' that connects Sinclair and Delenn, and we want to see inside Sinclairs mind ourselves..
This is by far the best performance from Michael O'Hare as Jeffrey Sinclair, he really gets his teeth into this role and comes across as believable (as opposed to wooden and stilted as he has before) Although we don't get total resolution (and won't until much later in the series) we do discover that Delenn is 'Grey Council' and realise that Sinclair knows that too (although he chooses not to tell her)
A great episode, which answers some questions and sets up more tensions that will propel the series forward.
this episode is based around jeffery sinclair. in the opening scene there is a security guard who is being threaten because he owns a lot of money to a booky. later on he is question in captain sinclari office with the cheif michael garibaldi there. later on the captain goes missing. he has been kidnaped and is being keeped down below by two men who have him in a mind device. they are trying to find out want happen on the line. thats were sinclari was fighting in the minbari war and lost 24 hours of his time. then after that the war ended. he finally gets loses and is found by garibadi and delenn.
