A bomber is loose on Babylon 5; setting of bombs with seemingly no pattern. G'Kar blames the Centauri, Londo blames the Narn - and in it all, Lennier is critically injured. At the same time a group of monks request permission to live on the station.moreless

Convictions was a really great episode of Babylon 5. I enjoyed watching this episode because it had good character driven scenes, especially with Londo and G'Kar. I thought this episode had a good amount of mystery and intrigue, as well as action and drama. I thought the story of this episode was interesting as was the deeper look into some of the characters. It was also cool to see more of the other races. This episode definitely adds to season 3's story line and is entertaining as well. I look forward to watching more episodes of Babylon 5's third season!!!!!moreless

So.. This episode did not gave much story development, it can be said, but it was stunning episode in character perspective. First of all, we had G'Kar and Londo and I loved how both of them tried to convince the humans that the other one is to blame of the attacks. And then, ending up together, trapped in the transportation tube and the reasons why G'Kar did not moved at all.. Stunning. This episode really had some great dialogue.

And then we also had Lennier. Something with that char just intrigues me. He is never much on the attention, on focus.. but he is always there, on the background.. and this episode gave him some spotlight and I loved that.

So.. chars had some great moments.. the story of that bomber was somehow good too.. I mean, it was.. but they have just so high standards..moreless

in this episode of babylon 5 we see a series of massive bombs devistate sections of the babylon 5 space station, which ends up critically injuring lennier and trapping londo and g'kar in a travel tube. its a perfect opoportunity for g'kar to murder his enemy londo but he decides to take his revenge in the strangest sweetest way. when help in finding the terririst comes from the oddist quarter, sherdian and garibaldi discover that the bomber has a ace up his sleeve, a hidden bomb and a very bad temper. this is a great episode and the funny scene in it is when londo and g'kar are trapped in the torbow lift.moreless
  • I love this episode so very much

    9.9
    "Superb"
The bomber is suitably crazy and his showdown with Sheridan at the end is superb. However, the reasons this is one of my all time favourite B5 episodes, lay with Londo and G'Kar. In this we get to witness Londo's confusion when Lennier risks his life to save the Ambassador's; this in turn leads to a subtly written and wonderful glimpse into Londo's caring side. It's amazing to witness him freely exhibiting feelings that are uncomfortable and new to him. The scenes of him at Lennier's hospital bedside are some of the most superbly acted moments in B5 history.

Then of course, the fantastic scenes between Londo and G'Kar when they're stuck in the elevator after another bombing. I was in tears of laughter. Fine piece of comedy/angst and Babylon 5 writing at its very best.moreless

    • Garibaldi: Now let me get this straight. You two are.. missionaries? Drazi visitor: Yes. Great sign. We hear you have recent visitation by Drazi higher being. Garibaldi: Yeah, yeah, Drebunka. Drazi visitor: Droshala! Garibaldi: Whatever! Drazi visitor: Appeared in garden we hear. Droshala lights the way. Garibaldi: Yeah, great, look. We're up to… [Ivanova comes over to talk to Garibaldi] Ivanova: Chief, you got a minute? Garibaldi: Zack, do me a favour and explain the missionary… position to these folks.

    • G'Kar: I suppose we've had a convention of mad bombers arrive here at the station! Yes, that must be it! From now on I must remember to check the Babylon 5 social calendar more often. Garibaldi: G'Kar… G'Kar: This is obviously the beginning of a campaign of terror by the Centauri. Several Narns have been killed in these recent explosions. Garibaldi: And so have two Centauri. G'Kar: A Narn ship had just arrived! Garibaldi: And a Centauri ship was leaving! G'Kar: There, you see? Their rage against us is so irrational that they will sacrifice their own people to get to us!

    • Londo: Kill me, now, kill me! G'Kar: You forget the terms of our surrender. The penalty for the killing of any Centauri, by any Narn, will be the death of five hundred Narns, including perpetrators own family!!! But I don't have to kill you. [laughs] I don't have to do anything, and I still get to watch you die. I find this most appealing.

    • Franklin: [to Lennier in a coma] How many Centauri does it take to screw in a light bulb? Just one - but in the great old days.... Lennier: [wakes up] ... in the great old days of the republic, hundreds of servants would live to change a thousand light bulbs at a slightest whim.

    • Zack: Ok, so here's how this-- what are you doing? Drazi: Droshala visitation means station blessed. Everything here blessed. You also blessed. We touch to share your blessing. Zack: Ah, Don't poke me, I don't like it. I don't want to share my blessing! Okay... You see that plant over there? Now, that was in the garden when your people saw this Drabawa-- Drazi: Droshala!! Zack: Right. Anyway, it was real close, so it's gotta be more blessed than me. So here. Why don't you go poke the plant for a while, while I take care of your entry visas, okay?

    • Londo: And so here I am. It is the least I can do. If I were in your position, I am sure that you would do the same for me. Of course if I were in your position and you were still in your position, neither one of us could do very much for the other. So I suppose properly I should say that if I were in your position and you were in my position, you would do the same. Of course if both of us were in my position and neither of us were in your position, there would not be the need for anyone to do anything. I'm not sure that actually made sense, but I'm afraid that if I try to go back and figure it out, I will start bleeding from my ears…

    • Delenn: I have spoken with Ambassador Mollari a while ago, he is most grateful of what you did. The Centaurum probably want to give you a medal for this. Lennier: I should have stayed in a coma.

    • Londo: There, you see! I'm going to live. G'Kar: So it would seem. Well, it's an imperfect universe. Londo: Bastard. G'Kar: Monster. Londo: Fanatic. G'Kar: Murderer. Londo: You are insane! G'Kar: And that is why we'll win. Londo: Go be the ambassador to Babylon 5 they say. Will be an easy assignment. Ah, I hate my life. G'Kar: So do I. Londo: Shut up!

    • Lennier: I did what I did because all life is sacred. But when the object of your actions does not share that belief.. I fear I have served the present by sacrificing the future.

    • Delenn: How do you feel? Lennier: As though great many heavy objects had fallen on me. But I suspect I will live.

    • Robert J. Carlson: No. It didn't. It's not fair. It's not fair! Sheridan: What can I say? Life's tough sometimes.

    • Robert J. Carlson: It's nothing personal, Captain. It's just the times.

    • Robert J. Carlson: These are chaotic times, Captain. I'm simply an instrument of my time. People need to understand fear. Do you understand fear? Do you?

    • Robert J. Carlson: As long as the trigger keeps transmitting, no boom.

    • Garibaldi: Now look, we play this one by the book. [Lights go out] Sheridan: Somebody just rewrote to book.

    • G'Kar: Not many fishes left in the sea. Not many fishes, just Londo and me. Not many fishes left in the sea. Not many fishes, just Londo and me.

    • Londo: We're in here! Can anyone hear us? G'Kar: I hear you. [giggle] Londo: In here! G'Kar: We are here. [giggle and laugh]

    • Londo: This is insane! We must work together! G'Kar: No. As the humans say: Up yours, guy!

    • Londo: I heard a joke today. I probably shouldn't repeat it, but .. who are you going to tell? How many Centauri does it take to .. ahem screw in a lightbulb? .. Just one, but in the great old days of the Republic hundreds of servants would change a thousand lightbulbs at our slightest whim.

    • Brother Theo: God goes by many names, perhaps some alien sounding, different faces, and history, but all describing the same Creator. We've come here to learn all those names, in hopes of better understanding the One who's behind them.

    • [Sheridan unbuttons his jacket, and starts putting his link inside his shirt] Garibaldi: Not there. That's the first place he'll look. Sheridan: Well! Where do you suggest I put it? [Garibaldi gives him a look]
