Duke is nicknamed "Dukie" in this episode by Pip.
The band's eye paint was like the band Kiss.
Freddy: DUMB! D-U-M-N-7-L... erm... DUMB!
Pip: Dude, there is no L in Dumn7!
Duke: I prechewed it so you wouldn't waste jaw energy.
Otis: So the sandwich in my mouth was previously in your mouth?
Duke: Nice taste, eh?
Peck: Now, explosives can be highly unpredictable, Freddy. You want to help me do a test run?
Freddy: You had me at 'explosives.'
Otis: (hanging from water tower) Okay, ball's not in danger of dying over here. Focus.
Duke: Woof woof.
Otis: Less barking... more saving.
Peck: I keep forgetting if we're supposed to use one ounce of blast powder or one 78-pound barrel of blast powder.
Freddy: Well, you know what the old saying is, when in doubt...
Freddy and Peck: ...go with the 78-pound barrel of blast powder.
Pig: Psst, I'm not wearing any pants.
Otis: What's that code for?
Pig: That wasn't a code. I just felt like sharing.
Bessy: (to Abby about Otis) He's gone, but you can still smell the stupid.
Freddy: Hey, anybody ever notice that Otis and Cowman are never together at the same time?
Bessy: You're really 31 flavors of dumb, aren't you?
Otis: Pip and I have this great idea. We totally want you guys to join us.
Bessy: Yeah, I'll do that right after never.
Otis: I am Cowman!
Pip: And I am Ratboy!
Pip: Fling me, Cowman!
Otis: What?! I can't throw you but..
Pig: Hey? Who's there?
Otis: Your worst nightmare.
Pip: And Ratboy!
(After Otis knocks Duke out of the way of a falling amplifier)
Duke: Otis, you saved my life!
Pip: Not to mention the rental fee on that amp.
Freddy: You had me at explosive.
This is a reference to the quote "You had me at hello" from Jerry Magrire.
Mr. Ham-tastic is a parody of the Reed Richards superhero, Mr. Fantastic.
Otis: With great cow power, there must also come great cow responsibility!
This line from "Cowman and Ratboy" is a reference to the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, who often says "With great power, there must also come great responsibility."
The episode title "Cowman and Ratboy" alludes to the crime-fighting duo, "Batman and Robin."
The "Justice Brood" alludes to the team of superheroes called the "Justice League."
