Back at the Barnyard

I used to like this show but then I saw how bad it was. Otis is so annoying, Freddy is always to eat peck, and abby has the worst cowgirl accent ever! Plus the people are so dumb.

Otis is the worst reason whyI hate this show. His scream is so dumb. he is so dumb. He tries to be funny but fails.

Another reason is freddy is always trying to eat peck. Every episode he tried to eat peck at least 5 times.Thats just plain repeatedcomedy. Its not funny!

Abby has the worst cowgirl accent ever. I mean its so easy to do a cowgirl accent. But her cowgirl accent is so terrible. And wasnt it daisy not abby. Where is the little cowthatdaisy gave birth to? It just forgets what it did in the movie

The people in back at the barnyard are so dumb kindergardners are smater thanthem. How can they not see that that is a cow in a costume.

There are many other things but I can't state them all.

Overall just plain avoid this show.

The plot generally revolves around Otis (a cow) and his barnyard friends. Otis wants to goof around, but has to be responsible and protect the inhabitants of the farm. He and his friends Pip the mouse, Abby the cow, Pig, Freddy the ferret, Peck the rooster, Duke the sheepdog, and Bessy the cow have many crazy adventures, while at the same time help Otis protect the farm. The setting is unknown but it is heavily implied to be in the fictional Arizona town of Oedeville. While the setting strongly resembles Arizona (the Grand Canyon has been depicted in some episodes, i.e. Cowman and Ratboy), some have questioned whether or not it's in Arizona or a made-up setting. According to the original film and an episode of the spin off, Oedeville (in which Steve Oedekerk most likely named after himself) are 20 miles from the actual city of Phoenix. There is still debate of whether this should be the official location because there are many scenes in the show where the nature background does not look at all like Arizona (it is green and hilly, whereas Arizona is more of a desert-like area which is dry, arid and sandy). Otis and his friends have to overtake many obstacles like preventing Mrs. Beady in proving that animals can talk and distracting the farmer for them to throw a party. In every episode, Otis usually gets himself in a sticky situation where his friends have to come to the rescue, resulting in him learning a lesson. Sometimes, the animals dress up like people when out in public, which nobody notices except Mrs. Beady. The locations and artistic style have been reinvented for the series.

I thought Back at the Barnyard is a great show. it is not perfect since there are a few flaws. One, some of the characters are annoying. I don't get why everyone love Peck and Freddie. They are not really the best characters for me. Also, Bessy seems to harsh on Otis especially on most of the episodes she is centered. Plus she always called him moron yet I don't get why. Otis is never much of a moron to me. IMO, he is a funny character. Second, I'm not really into Mrs. Beady and her plot. We seems to see that almost most of the episodes that she proves that the animals can talk and act as human (this is fictional. they can speak all they want.) . Anyway, that's all on the flaws. 80% of the episodes are enjoyable while the others may be boring or unwatchable. My favorite season 1 episode was Barnyard Games. As for season 2, that season has a lot of funny episodes since Bessy appeared less often in the second half of the season. I really LOL'd at the episodes such as the one with Abby's cousin (and the animal fall for him), as well as the episode where Otis gets a tiny clone (Little Otis) and become a news anchor (Anchor Cow). Overall, while a few episodes are not watchable, I enjoyed this show. However, back in 2007/2008, I didn't enjoyed Back at the Barnyard that much. But in late 2009, I became to be into that show anyway since there weren't good shows during the Nick 2005-2008 (because of Avatar) era. 8.5/10

Back at the Barnyard,in my opinion,was a good cartoon. It's better than Tak and the Power of Juju,but it's not as good as the Penguins of Madagascar. The show is about Otis,and his friends,who go on adventures in their barn,and around the city. Now,this show is funny,and most of the time,the show gets a laugh out of me. Then,we get to the characters. Oh boy,where do we begin? Well,to be fair,Pig,Peck and Freddy were the only good characters,and brought most of the laughs. Pip is OK,and is even voiced by the guy who voices Sheen. But the others just suck. Otis is just crazy,annoying and thinks he is inferior than everybody else and Bessie is just selfish,and is too harsh on Otis. This show lacks what the movie had and there is one big question: What happened to Miles,Maddie,Daisy the cow and her baby Ben from the end of the movie? Ben is now replaced by Joey,Miles and Maddie are nowhere to be seen,and Daisy is now replaced by a look-a-like named Abby. Abby is just annoying,but at least she's more likable than Otis. I also noticed how Otis never talks about his dad at all. If you've seen the movie,then you knew that his dad got killed by coyotes. But Otis never mentions him,as if he never had a dad. The humans are also pointless characters,and they are so stupid. They never recognize the animals by their disguises when they are so recognizable that a caveman could know that they're animals. Mrs. Beady seems like the only good human character of the show,but even when she's telling the truth,no one believes her,and is portrayed as crazy,when the others are the crazy ones. But by far,the worst character of the show has got to go to Eugene. He is such a rude kid who needs to get beat up. All he does is make fun of others,he thinks he's a winner and is so cool,and abuses animals. He is so unlikable,that he makes Johnny Test look like an awesome kid. But the animation stays true to the original,and nothing has changed. Overall,while the show has a few problems,it's funny,and is a good cartoon.

This Show Is Just not funny not at all!And I Know Why Nick Turned Horrible Because That Fat A** Cow ate it! This is one of the new lame nickelodeon shows that should have never aired! Here is my review:

Creating spin off shows based on movies is like playing Russian Roulette, it's just very risky. In the case of Back at the Barnyard, the creators lost. Based on the movie, Barnyard The Original Party Animals, Back at the Barnyard continues the story of Odis and the rest of his barnyard friends. I have seen the movie and it wasn't too bad, but did it honestly need a spin off show at all. Going into it, I kept my mind clear of negative thoughts and figured it would be somewhat decent, but after sitting through an hour of this show, I couldn't believe what I saw. Most of the characters are annoying and very obnoxious, nobody is funny, and everyone often seems to be self centered. The only good characters in this show were Freddy the Ferret and Peck the chicken, they did give me a few laughs. The animation is stiff most of the time and doesn't flow smoothly, and the artwork is too colorful. The stories are rather bland and there is very little creativity to them. The humor in this show is just pitiful and there are no real funny moments in most of the episodes. Overall, a very poor attempt to cash in on a decent kids movie, and while I will forgive the face that this show is aimed at kids, it does not excuse the fact that this show is just terrible, the characters are annoying, the animation is stiff, the stories aren't interesting, and there is very little humor. Sorry all you fans of the show, but I advise sticking to the movie than this show.

I do not let my children watch this show. A male holstein is called a bull. They do not give milk so the do not have udders. I realize its a cartoon but things like that are important. i feel sorry for the misconception this show is giving kids.

I love Back at the barnyard. Otis and Pip just crack me up. I could tell that otis would hypnotize himself by the commercial for that episode. i can't beleive that "I'm A loby nochab" wasn't on the screen before thanksgivving '07.

I really wish it was. Mrs. Beady freaked out about the animals in her car. It was very cute and funny! Pip is my favorite character. He is like otis's sidekick. Like how he's almost always on otis' shoulders and head. Duke is my favorite dog on the show, well I guess they need another dog. Wish their were more of them. It's an awsome show, WOuldn't anybody just enjoy more episodes? I know, you would so I wish...

It's better than Barnyard:The original Party Animals that came in 2006. Everything about this show is good. The animation, characters, they crack me up. Otis, Peck, Abby aren't funny, but Pip, Pig, Freddy, Bessy and Duke are funny. This show is way better than The adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genuis. I liked that show but some of the episodes were stupid. Anyway, Steve Oedekerk did a good job making this show. He planned everything almost perfectly. I give this show a 10! It deserves it and I don't like when people judge shows before watching it. I thought Tak was going to be stupid but it turned out alright.

It's weird that this episode is underappreciated. I expected that this would be another Nick classic like Spongebob or The Fairly Oddparents. My favorite character is probably Otis or Peck. Peck is so funny. Otis is so weird, but funny though. The movie was great! I thought the movie was like an A+. That was amazing. I was disappointed that the character Miles was in the movie, but not in the show! Same with Daisy, they replaced her with Abby. Miles was hilarious in the movie. He kept hitting the farmer in the head and knocking him out. Overall, this show is a 9.1.

Multiple things annoy me about this show. First off is the use of 3D. I do not like 3D animation. Only exeption is Pixar. It almost annoys me almost as much as Flash animation. Ugh. :P



Second is that it's a spin-off. I don't like spin-offs, either. The movie wasn't amazing, and neither is the show.



Another thing that bothers me is how anatomically incorrect the cows are. >> The male cows, anyway.



The humor isn't the best either. I think I only laughed when I saw the 1337 reference on the licence plate.



The characters are boring. 'Nuff said.



Better than Tak and the Power of Juju, but not by much.

The movie was two times better, but it should have just stayed a movie, just like Jimmy Neutron, it had to get a show. Both shows suck, but this one sucks harder. This is one sack of crap that should never be aired again, I mean do the writers put any effort in the plots in the episodes? The animation looks actually quite good, but it's a waste of paper, time, computer grapics, voice work, and money.

The movie didn't do that well in the box offices and they have the nerve to make a series out of it?!?! All in all a 2.0, becasue this is one horrible show that makes me sick, I mean El Tigre is better then this, and I think that got canceled.

Hmmm, well im not entirely sure how to describe Back to the barnyard. i guess the premise is mix one part talking animal with two parts almost getting caught, rinse and repeat.And that's pretty much the whole show. While it sounds like a good idea in paper, it just get's old after a wile. there are only so many times that a cocky cow can come up with crazy schemes and it still be funny.A good wast of time if you have nothing better to do but the lack of any true original material (via the barnia plot)puts a damper on the show

Ok,so about one or two years back,they made a MOVIE called Barnyard: The Original Party Animals. That was a pretty good movie. But then,in 2007,they decided to make THIS crud. In my opinion,I don't really think it deserves all these good reviews. No offense. Come on,Nickelodeon,where has all your effort and passion for your cartoons gone? The Mighty B is better than this. Even George of the Jungle is better than this,and that's saying a lot. I don't get it. It's cheesy,the voices are all annoying,and there's zero likeable characters. I think it would be safe to say that Barnyard would have been better off to stay as a movie. Just because you made some other Nicktoons into successful TV shows,doesn't mean you have to make EVERY Nicktoon movie into a TV show. Honestly.

This show is a take-off of the movie it made in 2006.I mean,come on.Where's Kevin James?I haven't seen any thing bad than this show.It was not good on Nick and it should had stayed as a movie.Everything is diffrent from the movie to the tv show.Where's Daisy the cow?All we saw was Abby the cow in this show.It had changed all the way down to the movie and it has a not that good show.Everybody is disguising as someone and that never happend in the movie.They stole motorcycles and that what they did.That is why i don't like this show.

The show runs really, really dry on story lines and plot. Almost every new episode features a annoying-as-hell "5 minutes later!" clip which is said by the abysmal, irritating cow Otis. It is used mainly because the writers for this show I'm assuming are lazy-assed and they just don't feel like making a decent, enjoyable storyline. Instead, they decide to trash it out with annoying, repeating lines and jokes, and trashy characters which nobody cares for or likes at all.



Speaking of characters, the characters are just painful to watch. Freddy the Ferret is always trying to eat the chicken Peck. The show always uses the dang joke in every episode. Betty the cow. Wow. Otis is by far one of the most annoying. He constantly repeats his lines. The writers, like I said, really don't have any respect for the show anymore. The rest of the characters, I don't want to talk about them. Ugh.



Overall, Barnyard is a painful, un-enjoyable show. Prepare to be smashing your head against a brick wall if you decide to watch this show.

ok yea anyway this show wont be here in like 30 years if it did i would watch it forever but it would be more cooler if it had the same actors which is impossible lol freddy the ferret rocks you have a bad taste of animation if you think back at the barnyard sucks i watch the video all day and i record it so release the inner ferret i smell chicken!!!!!

I think that this is all right, but just a little too weird. This show is about several animals who live on a farm with its owner. These animals are not your ordinary animals, they go wild when their owner is not watching, and have crazy adventures every day. The humor in this show is all right. Some of the jokes are funny, but in my opinion, most of the jokes are horrible. They are not funny, and a bit going of the deep end (it's a figure of speech). The dialog in this show is ok. In my mind, about half of the episodes are good, while some are bad. The music is good, although it's mostly farm music, which is boring. I think the opening theme is solid. Overall, ok show, funny, but mostly boring humor, all right dialog, somewhat lacking spice music. I really wouldn't recommend this show to anyone, unless you're feeling confident to watch this show.

Yes, I agree with the people who say this series has original jokes, (I have laughed at a few of them) but soon you realize, maybe these guys are desperately looking for jokes and frantically make them up because they know that around 2007, jokes are downright hard to find. I applaud them for their effort and whatnot, but it seems like a desperate attempt at humor that simply falls dead in comparison to other things. I guess when you're up against drek like TAK, you have to come up with something ripped off but original at the same time.

Yes, I admit, I thought it was really stupid the first time I saw commercials for it. And I was also confused why they were making a series based on Barnyard, when it didn't do too good in the box office or with critics. But eventually, I watched one episode out of boredom and was surprised to find that I really liked it. Sure the animation does look a little disturbing, and there are a couple of gross gags here and there. I recommend looking beyond that, and I think a lot of people would really enjoy. The jokes are very original and funny too. Most cartoon shows on Nickelodeon nowadays would steal it from Fairly Odd Parents or SpongeBob or one of the old cartoons. As far as I'm aware of, though, they've only done that once or twice, and the rest of the jokes they come up with themselves. Otis is hilarious, and he says some pretty funny stuff. The other characters are also funny, but to me, Otis is the funniest one and my favorite character. Will it be known as one of Nick's best ideas? No, but for me it's a good show for laughs.

I understand this show is typically aimed for kids, but I saw one once with my little cousin. God this show is terrible. The animation, the stories. There's virtually no humor I think was actually good. This show is based off a movie I have also not seen, but still, I do not think anything in this show is good. Excuse me if I am sounding too hostile or mean, but I can't see why anyone over the age of say 9 would like this show. It's simply not funny and the stories are dumb and weird.

this show can be good but it has minor problems. this show is sometimes funny but other times it is dumb. and about the theme song... they are trying to make us laugh most of the time but it doesn't work. and in the theme song Otis tries to play the guitar with his tounge and says "ow..ow" and that is just stupid i wouldn't consider watching this show but if it is the only thing on i would watch it. and i think this show isn't very good but i would watch it sometimes and sometimes i wouldn't have a choice.

When i was younger i thought this show was kinda funny, Now i think it's a little werid. I mean, For kids this could be a hit but it is a bit different. I think it is an OK show but i don't watch it everyday or anything, Although i haven't saw it in a long time now, So I don't know about the new episodes or anything changed, So i may like it more if the theme changed around sometimes and for there to be more characters and ideas. I do sometimes watch it, I'll admit I do think it's kinda funny sometimes. And i guess that the weridness is what makes it funny, Still don't LOVE the show though.

Barnyard is not the next spongebob but it is funny and this series have a great animation. the story tells about farm animals that every night and morning when the farmer is not in the farm, talking , walking and parting like a humans. this show is great and i like it. back at the barnyard have a lot of funny characters like pig: a fat , funny , pink pig. thats sound like patrick right ?. so if you want to see a funny animated show i recommend back at the barnyard, a kids tv show thats gonna make you laugh without control.

Back at the Barnyard is very good, and very funny. There are many funny moments in the show, and the characters are all different in some way. All of the characters have different personalities. The jokes in the show are orginal, and all the different episodes have their own unique stories. The only problems that the show has is that some of the jokes might be rude and inappropriate and reactions among the characters might be too violent fr younger kids. But these two things do not happen very offen. Overall this show is very funny and good. Back at the Barnyard had a very bright future.

I'm kinda tired of people comparing this show to the movie. OK, so maybe it's not as good as the film was but that doesn't make it a bad show. I think this is a hilarious show. Some jokes leave me laughing for hours straight. At times, this show can get a little annoying, I'll admit that. But still, when nothing's on TV, this show is great and funny to watch. The plots are cool and fresh. When I saw the commercials for this show, I was like, "Oh come on! This show looks retarded!" But one day, I was just sitting on my bed and I decided to tune in. I really liked the episode I saw, so I kept on watching them until I became a barnyard fan. Just goes to show ya, you can't judge a show by its animation. So even if you disagree with me, I'll still like this show although a lot of TV watchers out there don't. Grade: B+.
