It's a mystery why Back to You was cancelled as the show was a favorite of critics, and consistently received higher ratings than the renewed 'Til Death. An argument can be made that there are better comedies out there, but this was a decent way to go out. Production costs may have been an issue, but we may never find out if that was the case.
Josh Gad was kind of an annoying personality, but Suzy Nakamura was even worse. After being tolerable last week she was just brutal in this episode. This is someone that was on an entire season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and did not say a single funny thing.
Hopefully Kelsey Grammer gets another show on Fox as he was one of the few people on a sitcom that delivered on a weekly basis, along with guys like Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock and Jim Parsons on The Big Bang Theory.
The ad campaign, and the jingle were pretty humorous, but the show does little to attract a broad audience and really only targets people that don't like workplace sitcoms. There's always a chance the show will get reconsidered by the network for a return, but it looks like this is the end of a decent sitcom.
