Hello Jamie and all of you in this great team of Backyard Blitz...thanks for the good shows with fantastic ideas ,my hubby and myself enjoyed it a lot and we just moved to our parents in law a few months ago,so we all watch it now..due to we are going overseas in a few months and my parents in law are going for a little trip around Australia for the next 3 months, we thought in a great idea to thank them for having us in their home ..so we plan to surprise them changing their backyard, i think it is a big challenge for us on our own and none better than you guys to help us in the journey. It is a 25 year old house in Airport West,Melbourne,VIC,they built together and they didn't have chance to do much for their backyard since then...so guys we just wait for your advice and help, thank you again for such a great tv show,all the best Maria and James Delaney.
While people hit the sofa to watch their favourite TV Show, mine has been absent for awhile. My family would make sure anything that interrupt the viewing time of Backyard Blitz, are done.
I do not really have a mechanically minded hubby (he's Loved)really need backyard blitz. We just brought our first home. It has a small backyard covered with asphalt and badly needs someone to bring it back to life as a Yard/Garden. I would pay for the Team to do my yard. I am sure there are heaps of people that would be willing to do the same.
I know and have known this lady for a long time and also have witnessed her depression get worse as the days pass. She cant even walk outside without crying...i have tried to do this yard up, but it is too big of job for only me to do. When watching backyard blitz with her and seeing how happy she is when watching the show, and watching jamie durie..lol. I realized what i could do to help her out. This lady is the kindest lady and does everything for everyone and often in return gets trampled on in the long run. I would love to see her smile again, if i could get the backyard blitz team to her house to do a make over on her yard, i know i will see her smile for a long time...Please someone help me!!how do i nominate this lovely lady to get her backyard nice again, to see her smile again??? Please help!!

Dear Backyard Blitz I want to nominate help for my sister teresa and brother inlaw daryl to get there yard done as they have 5 children to deal with included 6 year old twins. they Love playing in the yard but they have that much rubbish and junk in their yard im afraid the twins will hurt them selves. they all need a nice inviroment

I have the following specific critiscisms about the show:
1) The team show little or no ecological nous with respect to their choice of plant species. Many species promoted are known or potential environmental weeds. In particular they have now promoted two species of Tradescantia. For the uninitiated one of their \\\'siblings\\\' (another species of Tradescantia) is the infamous Wandering Jew that is a major environmental weed (or environmental cancer if that is more explanatory) around Melbourne.
2) They rarely set their landscapes apart from any where else in the world by including lots of Australian native plants. The term \\\'McLandscapes\\\' is the appropriate term.
3) Most of their landscapes are more like a built environment with a few token plants. Gardens in Australia should be about bringing a little bit of the natural Australian environment to our backyards. Plants should dominate not built structures. After all we spend enough of our daily lives surrounded by concrete and asphalt without filling our gardens with it as well.

I love the show. It gives me good ideas when I have to fix things around my daughter\'s school that i volunteer to clean.I love how every week you have different ideas to suit the properties that you makeover also how you close areas using trees to design another area.
