There is an absolutely awesome moment in this ep, where Wade finally coaxes Paul into finally telling him why he moved to Bakersfield. He is, of course, expecting Paul to fess up to some sort of corruption in DC. As Paul starts to instead explain about the fertility doctor and the issues with his son, Wades face starts to change belying his innate innocence, naivete, and shock at the real situation. It eventually ends with Paul's comforting Wade. Ron Eldard plays this scene soooo beautifully, it's a real pleasure to watch.
This ep also features the great subplot featuring Los Burgers and their $0.99 special. Bakersfield PD is as equally concerned with the traffic congestion that the added Los Burgers customers will cause as with the drug deal buy-and-bust going on later in the day. A very hostile HoHo the Clown is out in the street working for Los Burgers, attracting customers, and the Captain and Sergeant are none too pleased. The confrontation between the three of them is incredible and I guess that nobody can get away with telling a police Captain to 'go to hell' quite like a clown can.
This is one of the funniest and most memorable eps.
