The UEFA Championship aired tonight on FOX, and I doubt that this will get very big ratings. I think it got about 250,000 viewers last year which is pitiful for an over the air broadcast of a huge sporting event. Soccer is on the rise in the US, but this surely did not do as well here as it did elsewhere.
But the thing is that the game was just boring. You had two of the biggest soccer clubs in the world, you had the game's best player in Lionel Messi and you still could not keep me interested for that long. Oh, well, better luck next year. They went all out on this broadcast and it still disappointed.moreless
