Blood Vengeance was an excellent way to introduce the Barnaby Jones audience to the new character of J.R. Jones played by Mark Shera. In this episode you really got to see the wide range of emotions that Mark Shera brought to the character of J.R. and how well he was going to fit in on this series.



From the moment the J.R. character burst into Barnaby\\\'s office you could tell that he and Barnaby were going to make a good team and this episodes showed how well they solved crimes together, Barnaby in the lead and J.R. quickly learning from him.
