Deadline for Murder is one of my favorite episodes and one that I watch over and over again. At first it is kind of a complicated story but at the end it all wraps up and you understand how all the characters fit into the plot.

This is one of the episodes that really showcases Mark Shera in the role of J.R. Jones. The whole episode basically revolves around J.R. and his investigation of the case and you get to see first hand how he never gives up and keeps on digging even though people try to stop him at every turn.

Like most Barnaby Jones episodes the writers always put humor in here and there and so with all the tension you also get a few laughs along the way.moreless
