Vanessa Redgrave was an English movie actress who became infamous when she narrated a pro-Palestinean documentary in 1977. Her sister Lynn Redgrave starred on the hospital sitcom House Calls (1979-1982) with co-star Wayne Rogers. Wayne Rogers played the character of Trapper John McIntyre on M*A*S*H (1972-1983), leaving the series in 1975. Years later CBS spun the character off into his own series Trapper John M.D. which ran from 1979 to 1986. In this show Trapper John was played by Pernell Roberts, best known for playing Adam Cartwright for six seasons on the c western series Bonanza (1959-1973).

Allen Funt was the creator of the long running television show Candid Camera which he hosted from 1948 to 1992. The premise of the show was to confront ordinary people on the street with practical jokes and bizarres situations while filming their reactions.
