  • Would like to put a few black widows on this episode.

A very bizzare, strange and boring episode (how many times have you seen those three words in the same sentence). When this was filmed, Tallulah was dying and she looked and sounded like she was (she passed away the following year). The plot to rob banks in alphabetical order is just plain dumb. The "cliffhanger" was scarcely that (have seen much better ones in this series). She puts Batman under her power by controlling a certain part of his brain (the only time in the series where Batman is actually under a spell; other times he faked it). Should faked it in this one too; it would have been more intriguing.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • When Batman and Robin arrive outside the Commissioner's office, they're not carrying the rather large Bat-Brain Analyzer that they use inside.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Irving Cash: Oh, that's her, Commissioner. Catch her!
Commissioner Gordon: Not quite that simple, I'm afraid. But we, ha ha, do have a chance.
      Irving Cash: The Dynamic Duet?
Chief O'Hara: Uh, Duo. That's "Dynamic Duo."

    • Aunt Harriet: I wanted to get a miniskirt but the salesgirl wasn't sure I had the face for it.

    • Chief O'Hara: Me men are clever, goodness knows, but where the human brain is concerned, they're just not equipped.

    • Robin: Sorry, Batman, but knowing that arch-villainess may be robbing a Gotham City bank at this very minute bothers me.
Batman: Bother you? It should. Just as it should bother any red-blooded American citizen who recognizes the law and obeys it.

    • Black Widow: And as for being caught in my own web, may I give you a little bit of advice? If you wish to live and thrive... let the spider run alive.

    • Black Widow: Dear Heart, you may be caped, and you may be dynamic, but to me you are a crashing bore!

    • Narrator: Is Black Widow about to succeed where countless other crooks have failed?? Or can Black Widow's black widows be stopped before dinner? For the answer to this and other creepy questions... Tune in Mañana, Same Bat-Time! Same Bat-Channel!

  • NOTES (1)

    • This episode and the follow-up, "Caught in the Spider's Den", contained verbal references to each of the sponsors of the show: Kelloggs, Westinghouse, Beneficial Savings and Loan, Lava Soap, and Clairol.
