At the end of the episode, Batman receives two phone calls in Commissioner Gordon's office. The first call offers Batman the 1968 presidential nomination for one of the two major political parties in the United States. Batman declines. The second call also offers the 1968 presidential nomination to Batman who responds that he thought that this party already had a candidate. Two years before the election, the show correctly predicted that President Johnson would not run for re-election in 1968.
