    I used to love Batman so much, but THIS episode has to b one of the most insuting, degrading, horribly sexist eps of any show I have ever seen!! It makes it look like all woman (aside from Batgirl, who is a pathetic fighter) are vain, ony good for cooking and cleaning (God Forbid a MAN do his own laundry) and shopping!!And scared of (I'M NOT!) I only saw it once and never again! Who knew Bob Crane was sexist?moreless

    In a show driven by preposterous plots, this one seems too silly. Nora Clavicle is a friend of Mayor Linseed's wife, and in furtherance of women's rights, Mrs. Linseed pressures her husband into firing Commissioner Gordon and appointing Nora to the post. She then fires Chief O'Hara and appoints Mrs. Linseed as chief of police and together they tell Batman and Robin that their crimefighting services are no longer needed, and fire all the policemen and appoint policewomen. Why, you may ask? Because women are afraid of mice and mechanical mice are key to Clavicle's plot to destroy Gotham City and collect on an insurance policy she has taken out on the whole city. After escaping from a potentially fatal Siamese Human Knot, Batman finds one of the mice and devises a plan to foil Clavicle's plot. He gets some toy flutes, and he, Robin, and Batgirl become the Pied Pipers of Gotham City, leading all of the mechanical mice to their demise in Gotham harbour in one of the most annoying sequences ever committed to video. It is clear that by this point the series is in irreversible decline.moreless

    Let's see now. Mayor Linseed has not had a decent meal in months and has worn the same shirt all week; gives the Commissioner a nice watch for all his years of service and then fires him; replaces him with a crusader for the rights of women; the Dynamic trio get trapped and tied into a Siamese knot and eradicate themselves after Batman "suddenly" remembers some way of doing it; and they go through Gotham City with flutes to erradicate the city of mechanical mice with explosives. No wonder the series was on the downslide at this point. I did like Barbara Rush, though. Always have.moreless
