    • QUOTES (5)

      • Maty Dee: (after firing several hundred rounds) Curses! We're out of ammunition.
Robin: Maybe it's a trick to get us out from behind our Bat-Shield.
Batman: No trick, Robin. They are out of ammunition.
        Robin: How do you know?
Batman: Easy. I've been counting their bullets.

      • Penguin: Ladies and gentlemen, friends of The Penguin's Nest. I regret to announce the outbreak of a sudden epidemic: Moldavian food poisoning. I suggest while you can, to run for your lives to your favorite family physician.

      • Robin: I bet Batman is the only one in the world with a hand steady enough to paint false fingerprints.
Batman: Come, come now, Robin, don't exaggerate. All it takes is a little practice and a bit of patience.

      • Bailiff: Mr. Penguin and his rascally restaurateurs.
        Judge Moot: On what charge?
Bailiff: Various, your honor--kidnapping of a police chief. Illegal electrification of a swimming pool. Littering public property with machinegun cartridges without license thereof. Attempted murder, mayhem, battery, and compound assault.
Judge Moot: Dear me, most serious.

      • Chickadee: (Holding her umbrella gun to Aunt Harriet's head) Stop, Batman! Stop or I blow the lady's brains out!

    • NOTES (3)

      • Ballpoint Baxter is played by regular series writer Stanley Ralph Ross.

      • Take special note of when the Penguin rises to begin his defense in court. As is commonly known, Burgess Meredith developed the Penguin's "quack" to cover up coughing brought on from having to smoke cigarettes again after he had given up doing so nearly 20 years before. Just before he says, "In the immortal phrase of Emile Zola," Meredith coughs and quickly covers it up with a "quack."

      • This is the last episode in which the Part 2 teaser sequence features stop-motion clips of events from the previous evening's episode; from the next episode on, the teaser in Part 2 will immediately pick up where the previous episode left off.
