  • The Joker as an opera singer...come on

The Joker escapes from prison, furious that he was not named to the Gotham museums Hall of Comedians. He captures Batman in the museum. Batman escapes with the help of his utility belt which the Joker decries and swears he will never be defeated again by "that contraption". So he makes his own utility belt. But when he tries to unmask Batman and Robin in the opera theater before a TV audience the utility belt foils him again. The series is still a lot like the dark atmosphere that they comic books are; the campiness hasn't quite kicked in yet. All in all a fairly good episode.
  • The Joker escapes from prison to avenge his exclusion from a museum exhibit. After being thwarted by Batman's utility belt, he devises one of his own to combat the Caped Crusader.

The best Joker outings of the series. Cesar Romero\'s portrayal is not nearly as goofy as later outings. He seems to be a touch more malevolent than he became in later episodes. The writers did a great job of expanding on the original comic book story. The death trap was not as bizarre as some of them.
