Queen Olga and Egghead egg oriented theivery continues. But thankfully Batgirl lends a hand to the dynamic duo.
  • The plot is to steal caviar...never cared for it myself

As usual, Anne Baxter (in her second villaness role in the series; she was Zelda the Great in the first season) is charming as the Queen of the Beserovian Cossacks, but that's about it for this otherwise uninteresting episode. How poor Vincent Price got himself into the role as Egghead is beyond me. The "caviar" that Batgirl almost drowned is was actually diced Jello; not sure which would have been worse, to be honest. The mention by Chief Ohara at the end of them not wanting to go into the paddy wagon instead of wanting to was a reference to the ealier episode in which Egghead tries to hatch a dinosaur.moreless

    • Batgirl: They almost turned me into a human au dóeuvre. What a chilling way to die. Robin: Holy cold creeps! Leave it to crooks like them to think of a trick like this! Batman: Yes, that's to be expected, Robin. The concept of decency is alien to the criminal mind.

    • (unable to escape from a vat of caviar) Batgirl: Help, Batman! I'm drowning. I'm also freezing! Batman: Batgirl is being frozen in that caviar!

    • (all tied up and unable to join in the fight) Batgirl: Give 'em one from me, Batman!

    • Batgirl: The ambush is on the other foot now, Egghead.

    • Egghead: Oh, please, you can't ask me to rat out my friends. Batgirl: Oh, yes I can, and you'd better start ratting fast. Egghead: Do you eggspect me, a, a, a respected arch-criminal to, to fink on my friends like a, like a common stool pigeon? Batgirl: Of course. Egghead: Alright, I'll do it.

    • Egghead: Oh, protect me, Batgirl. That monster is going to shoot me. Batgirl: You're not so brave when your henchmen aren't around, are you, Egghead? Egghead: Oh, I never claimed to be brave, Batgirl. No, I'm, I'm clever and crafty but I'm a complete coward.

    • (To Egghead) Olga: You are a heartless, hairless man. I am liking you more and more.

    • Egghead: Oh, you could trust me, Batgirl. Batgirl: I'd as soon trust a snake with poison on both ends.

    ADD NOTES
    • According to one interview, Vincent Price called his time on the Batman series one of the most fun acting roles he ever had.

    • Some footage used in "The Ogg Couple"'s teaser sequence is cribbed from Episode #1705-Pt. 2, "How to Hatch a Dinosaur."

    • This was originally planned as a third installment for episodes #102/#103 (all were shot together over nine days), but rather than have ABC air another 3-parter, the producers split up the episodes.

    • Egghead declines from a strong second season villain to a whiney brat!

    • The final appearance of both the late Anne Baxter as Olga, Queen Of The Cossacks, and the late Vincent Price as Egghead.
