For once this season, The Dynamic Duo don't stop at Police HQ at all; instead, they are notified by Batphone as they travel through Gotham City.
Robin: We're sure taking a chance, Batman.
Batman: What's the matter, soles of your boots slippery?
Robin: Heck, no. I mean when we put the fake jewels in Miss Starr's safe, take the real ones out. We could be nailed as crooks.
Batman: That's a chance we'll have to take, Robin. In our well-ordered society, protection of private property is essential.
Robin: I guess you're right, Batman. That's the keystone of all law and order.
Narrator: Batman and Robin...A swinging pair of dead ducks! What on Earth can save them?? Don't shoot, Commissioner! Don't shoot!!
Penguin: All set, my laddies.
Commissioner Gordon: We're set.
Penguin: Now on my instructions. Ready? Aim!
Narrator: Good grief! Good night! Double funeral tomorrow? Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel! Can YOU see any way out??
The idea of The Penguin's "going straight" has been part of the character's history in the Bat-comics. It was previously used on numerous occasions, and among them: Batman #41, 70, 76; and Detective Comics #171.
As The Batmobile careens through Gotham City's streets en route to The Penguin's gala at Gotham Amusement Park, you can spot the famous Schwab's Drugstore which is/was once in Los Angeles.
