Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Batman brings up the plans of the Gotham City Museum's third floor. However, there are two errors with the floorplan. The first is it shows an archway leading from the lobby to the main exhibition hall. The lobby might extend up three floors, but it wouldn't have an archway leading directly to the exhibition hall. The second error is that Batman then says that "Not even a Penguin could get through those security devices." There are no security devices indicated on the floorplan.

    • The Penguin mentions his hideaway in Alaska for the first and only time in all of the Penguin episodes.

    • The next time The Dynamic Duo are stuck to a magnet by the metal in their utility belts (which nearly becomes their undoing!) is in the 1966 Batman movie.

    • Leslie Parrish is seen wearing the exact same gold outfit as Linda Lorimer in Season 2 episode, The Clock King's Crazy Crimes, as the Car Hop who serves The Dynamic Duo "Bat-Burgers" and again at the end of the season as Glacia Glaze/Emma Strunk in episodes Ice Spy & The Duo Defy.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Batman: Dawn Robbins the beautiful movie star. She's on location here in Gotham City.
Robin: Holy popcorn! Could he be planning to kidnap her?
Batman: Dawn Robbins in a picture called The Mockingbird, produced by Ward Eagle, and she's staying in the penthouse in the Pelican Arms.
      Robin: Birds in every bush!
Batman: A Penguin ploy if I've heard one.

    • Sparrow: What was that?
Hawkeye: It sounded like the Batzooka!
The Penguin: The Dynamic Duo. They just fired the famous Batrope!

  • NOTES (1)

    • After Bruce Wayne escapes, Penguin's henchmen arm themselves each with a M1 Thompson submachine gun, commonly referred to as a Tommy gun, and probably gotten through war surplus after WWII.
