      • Commissioner Gordon: Whoever they are beneath those masks they wear...
Chief O'Hara: You've said that before, Commissioner.
Commissioner Gordon: And I'll say it to my dying day, Chief O'Hara. Gotham City owes the Dynamic Duo a debt that can never be repaid.
Chief O'Hara: Oh, if this Artemus Knab is as rich as they say, maybe he can help a little.

      • The Puzzler: Sweep on, you fat and greasy citizens.
        Blimpy: Fat and greasy?
The Puzzler: A favorite line of mine from As You Like It, Blimpy. Translated, it means "get going."

      • Rocket: Well, the Puzzler told me he's not seeing anyone today.
Batman: At the risk of sounding conceited, young lady, we're not just anyone.

      • Narrator: Horror of horrors!! Is there no escape?? That altimeter is running fast!! Is this the last harrah for the Dynamic Duo? Can anything save them? We can only hope 'til tomorrow! Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel!!!

    • NOTES (2)

      • This is the first appearance of the Puzzler.

      • Fred DeGorter's script originally began as a Riddler vehicle entitled "A Penny For Your Riddles/They're Worth A Lot More!" probably intended as an early second season episode. Frank Gorshin was unavailable, so De Gorter rewrote the script for a new villain, Mr. Conundrum, titled "The Conundrums are Coming/The Duo is Slumming," which in turn was changed to The Puzzler (actually a Superman villain in the comic books).
