Linda Gaye Scott is the heiress to the Scott paper company.
If you look closely at Moth's outfit, it resembles a prototype outfit of what Batgirl would wear in the third season.
Riddler: Oh, if only this were the real Batman. Oh, 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wished! That his too, too solid flesh would melt and resolve itself into a dew!
Moth: Oh, Riddler honey, that's beautiful!
Riddler: I wrote it myself.
Batman: Have you seen any unusual-looking people around here?
Miss Prentice: Unusual? In what way unusual?
Batman: Their garb. For instance, a man wearing a bright green suit with big black question marks?
Miss Prentice: Let me think a moment. No, I can't say that I have, offhand, but then, I see so many people in the course of the day.
Riddler: At last I've found it! This will lead me right to the lost treasure of the Inca's. Every greedy bone in my bodies cries out: huzzah! huzzah!
Moth: Oh, he, he looks so handsome beneath that mask.
Riddler: A diamondback rattlesnake is a handsome creature, too, but dangerous and deadly. Remember, Moth, Batman is our sworn enemy. We can Ill afford such emotions as pity.
Batman: The last thing I remember, we were in the wax museum. we'd just passed the Revolutionary War scene.
Riddler: You're getting warm.
Batman: So that's how it was done!
Robin: How what was done?
Batman: Oh, it's so clear now. We were victimized by a repeating blowgun!
Riddler: For two people about to become human candles, you have got a lot of questions.
Batman: I'm always interested in the way the criminal mind works.
Riddler: Well, then, I'll tell you.
Narrator: Infamy of infamies!! Can this be the end of our beloved Caped Crusaders?? Will Batman wax serious? For the sake of our heroes, let's think positively!!! But it looks bad, very bad! How can we wait until tomorrow night...Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel!!?
Riddler: If they want a life-like figure of their precious Batman for the Wax Museum, we'll give it to them. We'll even throw in a dividend. Robin!
Batman: You fiend!
Riddler: Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me.
Riddler: As you can see, Batman, by the deadly weapons we hold, you'd be fools to move.
Batman: What are you doing here, Riddler?
Riddler: Checking out a book.
Robin: Checking out a book?!?
Riddler: Exactly, Boy Wonder.
Robin: (looking at the book title) "The Lost Treasure of the Incas." What would he want with a book like that?
Batman: Who can explain the devious mind of an arch-criminal? You'll never get away with this, Riddler!
Riddler: Would you like to make a little wager?
Batman: I never gamble.
The Riddler: Surprise, surprise! (giggles) What is black and white and red all over? Illustrious friends, if that little riddle is too hard for you, why, here's another: what has branches and leaves and no bark?
In the episode "Hi Diddle Riddle", the Riddler attempted to steal the Batmobile only to be foiled by the Anti-Bat-Theft. This time he finally succeeds.
These segments apparently took place before Mayor Lindseed's election, as a different mayor is in office in these episodes.
This is Frank Gorshin's 5th appearance as the Riddler. He was previously seen in "Hi Diddle Riddle, Smack in the Middle", "A Riddle a Day Keeps the Riddler Away" & "When the Rat's Away the Mice Will Play".
The Riddler: 'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished.
The Riddler quotes the "To be or not to be" soliloquy from Shakespeare's Hamlet while he melts the wax figure of Batman in a vat of boiling wax as his moll Moth looks on. The full line is, "'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished. To die to sleep, To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub."
