Just as The Dynamic Duo are about to be impaled, they activate The Batsprings which are cleverly hidden in their boots and catapult them up and out of harm's way. Rather than go back after the unshiskebabed superheroes, The Archer and his merry malefactors opt to beat a hasty retreat to their new hideout in the basement of Police HQ! Next, Archer and his cronies hijack an armored car carrying $10 million, which The Wayne Foundation plans to donate to the poor Gothamites. The truck is later found abandoned not too short a distance away with the cash left untouched, so the ceremony commences as planned. Whilst Alfred Pennyworth, in disguise as Batman, and Robin bears witness from across the street, Bruce Wayne attends the ceremony, where it's learned that The Archer has substituted the money in the truck for phoney tender bearing The Archer's picture!

The Caped Crusader deduces that Alan A. Dale, one of The Wayne Foundation's directors who was resposible for the money's well-being, is one of The Archer's merry band of mad malefactors, and they are planning to escape by boat to Switzerland in international waters, where they feel they'll be forever protected from the law...or so they assume! The Dynamic Duo chase the crooks by Batboat and rout The Archer, Crier Tuck, Big John, Maid Marilyn, and Alan A. Dale before they get the chance! Later, Bruce, Dick and Alfred perform archery on their front lawn.moreless
  • Not the best of Batman.

Lets get the bad out of the way. The villian is still not a real threat and I find it terrible that he can give Batman such a hard time.

    But the good was..well, good.
Alfred continued to be a big help by dressing as Batman when Bruce was busy. The fight "words" kept with the theme of the episode. Also, when the boat is first shown, they did a sustained camera shot from the upper part of the deck to the lower section. While the boat was clearly a staged prop, that little bit of camera work was nice.

The weekly moll, Maid Marilyn was an odd one. When a moll decides to dump the bad guy to help Batman, they usually have a reason. But not her, she just gives Batman and Robin swords for no reason. She was safely away from the fighting and did not seem angry at the Archer. Def not angry enough to betray him.
Overall...it was ok, but the Archer is no Joker or Riddler.moreless

    • The Archer's plan was to escape with the money by boat and reach Switzerland due to its banking system. However, this would be quite impossible since Switzerland is a landlocked nation. Ambassador Pleasant Stovall made the same mistake in 1913 when he invited the Swiss Navy for naval ceremonies.

    • When Alfred is impersonating Batman, he covers his white mustache with flesh colored makeup. This is quite similar to what actor Cesar Romero does with his mustache when playing the Joker.

    • The heisted truck from The Trojan Hearse Company that appears in these episodes is also heisted from Season 1 episodes The Joker Goes To School & He Meets His Match, The Grisly Ghoul.

    • The character of Zoltan Zorba was originally known as Alan A. Aardvark, but when Sam Jaffe was selected to portray the role, it was changed to Zorba as a sort of takeoff on his role of Dr. Zorba on the 1961-66 ABC medical drama Ben Casey.

    • The better part of the previous segment had Maid Marilyn supply Archer with a special audio machine, which was purloined from "a castle of a television producer who makes alleged comedy programs," and emitted applause every time Archer committed an act of treachery. Maid Marilyn accidentally smashes the machine to smithereens at the beginning of this episode.

    • The footage of The Dynamic Duo driving The Batmobile to a secluded Batpier and switching to The Batboat is edited from the 1966 Batman movie.

    • Et Tu Brute This is the last line that The Archer gives in this episode. This is also the final line given by Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar.
