Batman

Excellent performance by Anne Baxter (one of the best around) as a frustrated magician reluctantly turning to a life of crime. She robs a bank but Batman plants a false story in the papers that the money she stole was counterfiet. Zelda then kidnaps Aunt Harriet. Batman later relents that the story was false in order to save Aunt Harriet from the pot of boiling oil. Batman and Robin are then lured into a trap, an inescapable death chamber from which they free themselves, little realizing there are 2 gunman in hiding ready to shoot them until Zelda, feeling self-conscious about it all, warns them in time.
