    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Trivia: The blueprints that Stalker and Batman discover on the disc at the Kobra lair reads "copyright 2031," indicating that the year is at least 2031, if not later.

      • There is a scene where Batman and False Face are wrestling in a public area and False Face pushes Terry over a ledge. False Face manages to push Terry not only over a ledge, but also right through a barrier that appears to be solid concrete. Even if False Face was supposed to have some kind of super strength, the speed at which he was moving Terry should not have produced anywhere near the momentum that would be required to do such a thing.

    • QUOTES (9)

      • Batman: You risk your neck to save me.
Stalker: It was not your time. When you die, it will be by my hand. And my hand alone.
        Batman: Thanks, I guess?

      • (After Batman punches Nash/False Face)
False Face: How did you know?
        Batman: Not enough pimples.

      • Batman: There's gotta be a clue somewhere.
Stalker: Every pack has its own Alpha dog. You can see it in their eyes. (Uses his staff to point at one of the Kobras) They follow this one.

      • Batman: Wait here. (sneaks down silently to the Kobras but is interrupted when Stalker turns them all unconscious) So, what part of "wait here" did you not understand?!
Stalker: Never hesitate! In the jungle, it's either kill or be killed.
Batman: This isn't a jungle! (holds up a Kobra) And this isn't False Face! We can't even ask where he is!
        Stalker: Perhaps I was impatient.
        Batman: You think?!

      • Batman: According to my sources, this use to be a major Kobra nest. After you.
        Stalker: You don't trust me.
Batman: You were out to kill me, remember?

      • (while watching Stalker sniff around)
Batman: I don't like it. This freak tried to hunt me down like a wild animal. What if he goes psycho again?
Bruce: Right now, you got bigger problems. If you don't find False Face in the next hour, we'll all be dead.
        Terry: Any suggestions?
Bruce: Try the Muscle City Sweat Shop.

      • Chelsea: Nelson! What took so long?
Nelson: Some jerk in the customs gave me the second degree.
        Terry
: Looks like he was thorough. (sees Nelson's underwear sticking out of his bag)
Nelson: McGinnis, what you doing here?!
Terry: Just along for the ride.
Nelson: Here! (Gives Terry his bag)

      • Dana: I can't believe that spring break is over already.
        Terry: Or that Nelson's back.
Chelsea: Come on, he's not that bad. Anyway, I promised we pick him up. I wonder what brought me?

      • Stalker: There are worse things than an honorable death.
Terry: Betcha it's a short list.

    • NOTES (3)

      • This episode marks the first appearance of Kobra. Kobra returns in "Curse of the Kobra" and "Unmasked," as well as the Static Shock episode "Future Shock" (guest-starring Terry McGinnis).

      • False Face's transformations look much like the ones Matt Hagen used to do with Roland Daggett's Renu-U cream before he was transformed into Clayface.

      • False Face was also a villain on the Batman (1966) series, but he wasn't a shapeshifter. He was just a criminal that wore masks hiding his true face.
