On the door of Billings' office at school, his name is misspelled as Billngs, as can be seen while he's asking Terry to come in. In the next shot, as Billings is closing the door, the name is correct.
In the library scene, Bruce is on a ladder, two shelves from the top of the book wall. In the next shot, he is at least three shelves from the top.
Trivia: Terry borrows Dick Grayson's tux, as it's "way retro." Terry and Dick do look like they're about the same build - makes sense. (Of course, it does raise the question of how the lean Terry fits the Batsuit designed for the muscular Bruce).
Bruce is getting sloppy - at one point he pulls up the three victims. (At this point, it had been one student- Chelsea - and two parents of students). He shows pictures of Chelsea, who was ensorcelled, the curator, who was ensorcelled, and Jared, whose mother was ensorcelled. Why not a picture of Jared's mother?
Bruce: Terry, listen to my voice. Whatever you're seeing, it isn't real.
(Spellbinder hits Batman with a branch)
Batman: That sure felt real.
Terry: Then Batman tied Doctor Billings up and disappeared.
Barbara: And you are Mr.Wayne's new assistant?
(Terry nods his head happily)
Barbara: Your father was Warren McGinnis?
(Terry nods his head seriously)
Barbara: Stay out of trouble, kid.
News Anchor: With this second report about a spellbinder hypnotizing citizens, the police have reopened the case involving Chelsea Cunningham.
Terry: Told you so.
Bruce: Umm hmm.... Now suit up and get out there. Find out who this Spellbinder is.
Terry: Actually, I was thinking of a different costume tonight. Hope you don't mind. (showing a tuxedo) Found this in the closet upstairs. Way retro. Who's DG?
Terry: I don't buy it. I mean Chelsea's flaky but she's not stupid! She's not going to make up some goofy guy with a mask and a magic eyeball. It's too crazy not to be true.
Bruce: Leave it alone. She's just a troubled kid lashing out to daddy. Nothing for you to get invoved with.
Terry: Guess you're the expert in troubled kids--you collect them, right?
(Commissioner Gordon and a policeman walk past them)
Terry: What's that about?
Jared: Got to be Chels. You didn't hear about her and her old man last night? She bugged and tossed some pricey statue of his into the river.
Terry: You don't seem very excited? Your mom's wedding, big bash, lots of food then you get the house all to yourself for three weeks!
Jared: What... ever.
Terry: You don't like the guy?
Jared: My mom goes through husbands like popcorn. I don't bother to get attached.
Terry: Yikes!
Bruce: Telling tales in school, were we?
Rick: You sure you don't want me to walk you home?
Chelsea: It's three houses away, Rick. Besides, daddy is probably back from gun practice by now.
Rick: Er.. you're right. Nothing ever happens around here anyway. I'll see you tomorrow?
Terry: (over radio) Wayne, you alive?
Bruce: Very funny.
This episode, along with "Hooked Up" and "A Touch Of Curare" were released on VHS as Batman Beyond: Spellbound. It was later paired up with the VHS release of Batman Beyond: School Dayz (consisting of "The Winning Edge", "Golem" and "Dead Man's Hand") on DVD.
Spellbinder is introduced.
Shop 'Til You Drop
In one of Terry's visions, he is on a game show called Supermarket Spree. This alludes to the extremely popular cable game show Shop 'Til You Drop (1991-2003).
