Robotic killer programmed by higher forces to work for good suddenly develops a mind of its own and decides killing is wrong while trying to break away from the creators that fear/demand its powers.
That sums up the plot of "Zeta," and at least a dozen other movies and shows. It's a real shame that they couldn't come up with something more original to launch a spinoff.
