  • Batman teams up with Superman to defeat Ra's al Ghul once again.

    8.5
Ra's returns, this time as a weakened old man in a wheelchair, following his too many uses of the Lazarus Pits, and sends his Society of Shadows into Metropolis to steal a powerful ancient artifact, the Shaman Staff. After Superman is unable to stop them he meets up with Batman, who has been tracking Ra's for a while. Batman also admits he considers Ra's one of his most powerful enemies, "more dangerous than the Joker and Lex Luthor put together", as he mentions.

Talia is also back, and impersonating Lois manages to trick and capture Superman. Ra's meets with Superman and reveals his new plan: to use the Shaman Staff to steal Superman's powers. He succeeds only until Batman arrives and puts an end to his plans by freeing Superman and making Ra's and Talia fall in an underground river.

Once again, the strong continuity and chemistry between some of the characters is great. For example, the little talk Lois has with Bruce/Batman, considering what they went through at the beginning of their relationship; the fact that Ra's actually cares enough about Talia to save her instead of getting his revenge against Superman; and the everlasting "rivalry" between Batman and Superman. Overall this was a good episode, and a great (but short) comeback for Ra's and Talia. Good thing their story-arc isn't over yet.moreless
  • Harley\'s Origin: Harley Quinn recount about how she became involved with The Joker, and sets a trap for Batman in order to make herself worthy to Mr. J.

Mad Love, based after the hit comic the episode is wonderful and truly closes the series well. The entire reworking of the comic to the TV wa great! From Harley\'s flashback sequence to the final battle on the train was great. This had to be my favorite Batman episode of the enitre series. It was just great. There was no room for change, it just worked. No other episode would have been a series final except this one! Great job to the writers of this episode. Tres Bon!! Episodes like this are hard to come by!! A great end to BTNA!moreless
