Batman Gotham Knights

A Metropolis PD special unit transports Livewire to Goth-Corp for treatment (to strip her of her electrical power), much to her displeasure. They're stopped when they come across an accident scene. A Gotham PD officer warns to watch out for the downed power lines. Livewire takes advantage of this and escapes into the cab and knocks the driver out before getting away on the electric wires.

In another part of the city, Batgirl is patrolling the area and tells Batman over radio (who is out on business) about Livewire's escape and she could be headed back to Metropolis. Batman agrees to give her some 'special' help to catch Livewire. Just after he ends his transmission, Batgirl spots Livewire, who isn't about to leave Gotham yet. She spots Batgirl and lands atop the hood of the Batmobile, before giving a shock to Batgirl's system.

Over in Metropolis, Kara (a.k.a. Supergirl) is housesitting for Clark (whose out of town as well), and is bored; only there to sort his mail and read in her leisure time, as she explains to her ma. She then gets another call (from Batman) asking where Clark is, and tells her of Livewire's escape. Kara decides to take it upon herself to catch Livewire - as Supergirl.

Meanwhile, back in Gotham, Batgirl escapes Livewire's electric shock, but then squares off against her in the park. After dodging off as many of her hits as she can, gets struck by a bolt from her and flies into a bush before hitting a fence.

Just as she's about to be fried, Supergirl carries her away in the nick of time. But ultimately, she gets shot down and Livewire starts electrocuting her before getting hit by one of Batgirl's batarangs. Before she can fry Batgirl, Livewire realizes she's out of juice, and leaves to find more. Batgirl goes to check on Supergirl, who's ok.

A short time later, the police arrive, and Bullock grills Supergirl over her loss of losing Livewire, and wondering where Batman has gotten. Batgirl says they're in charge of the case, much to Bullock's disgruntlement. Supergirl sticks her tongue out at him when he turns his back, but Batgirl assures her they'll get Livewire before Batman or Superman return.

Over in another part of Gotham, Pamela Isley and Harleen Quinzelle (a.k.a. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn) are lying low. Harley suggests a trip into town for a late-night shopping spree, but Ivy says they can't do that without attracting Batman's attention unless they have some sort of edge. That's when Livewire bursts in via their toaster and proclaims to be the edge they're looking for, much to their bewilderment.

So, they being their spree at the mall. Harley unsuccessfully (and quite humorously) tries knocking the doors down with a giant mallet, much to Livewire's annoyance, so she shoves her out of the way and knocks the doors down with her electrical powers. Ivy is impressed at how she can control them, much to Livewire's enjoyment (and much to a disgruntled Harley's jealousy).

They're then stopped by a fat security guard (who seems to be new to the job, as he's quite nervous when he halts them), but Ivy easily seduces the poor man with one kiss and he falls to the floor in a heap.

They walk over to the ATM machines and start looting the cash from them. Harley tries again with her mallet, breaking one of the ATMs, which really ticks Livewire off, and decides to do it herself. She then orders them to load the cash into the car, while she decides to do a little shopping. Harley's not really happy they're being ordered about by her.

Over the city, Supergirl's in the sky, looking for signs of Livewire, while Batgirl rides atop her back, amazed at what flying is like, to Supergirl's agreement it's the best part. Supergirl then spots Livewire's voltage coming over from the mall, and they go to investigate.

In a clothing store, Livewire tries out some dresses when Supergirl interrupts her. Livewire goes after her and in an open area of the mall, traps her in an electric cage before finishing her off. Just as she does, Batgirl throws a giant ball at her that explodes and Livewire falls to the ground. She's covered in gray dust that renders her powerless. Batgirl explains it's silicate dust, and that it's resistant to electricity. Livewire tries to punch her, but Batgirl lands a fist in her face, knocking her out.

Ivy and Harley appear. Ivy blows seeds onto Supergirl, which are instant vines that trap her. Batgirl tries to help, but is knocked out by a flying boxing glove from Harley's gun. Supergirl struggles to get free of the vines. Meanwhile, Harley revives Livewire by way of a water-squirting bottle, with some pretty electrifying results! Livewire grabs Harley at the chest, saying 'is she out of her mind?'. "Yeah," Harley replies. As they walk to Ivy's car, Supergirl finally gets free of the vines.

As Ivy throws another handful at Batgirl to try and trap her, Supergirl destroys them with her heat-vision. She then cuts Ivy off, but Ivy explains the when Supergirl destroyed her vine seeds, they actually contain a very dangerous allergenic pollen of the floral kingdom. Needless to say, it's lethal plant gas that's suffocating Batgirl, who's trying to get out of the service elevator. Supergirl gets her out and they return to Batgirl's apartment, while Ivy, Harley and Livewire make their getaway.

Back at Barbara's apartment, she gets some well-deserved oxygen from her tank, while Supergirl looks around, amazed at all the stuff she has. Barbara explains she's a DNA analyst and that she has access to all police activity. She asks what Supergirl's life is like, with Supergirl sheepishly saying she lives a farm life. Barbara's actually surprised, and pretty willing to trade big city life for 'early-to-bed, early-to-rise' and chores.

Meanwhile, Harley, Ivy and Livewire hang out at Penguin's place--the Iceberg Lounge. Livewire causes a ruckus with Harley, not happy with her reviving her with water. Penguin orders the three to leave, but instead, they terrorize the place.

Supergirl and Batgirl arrive later to find the place a mess, with vines everywhere, and Penguin pretty ticked off. He of course, knows word of where the three got to.

Back at Ivy and Harley's hideout, Livewire thinks their place isn't too shabby, though she wished it was less green. Then, one of Ivy's plant start acting up, and Ivy realizes they've got company.

Supergirl and Batgirl arrive outside the hideout, with Batgirl equipped with enough silicate dust to subdue Livewire. As Supergirl x-rays the compound for trace of movement, she spots Harley, who, quite humorously makes a face at Supergirl, and Supergirl suddenly makes head that they know they're here.

Supergirl is hit by Livewire, while Ivy's plant grabs hold of Batgirl's silicate equipment and junks it in the garbage bin. Livewire deals with Batgirl while Ivy deals with Supergirl. Harley tries to hit Supergirl with her boxing glove gun, and it repels off Supergirl and hits Harley instead, knocking her out. Supergirl, turning and spotting Harley, not knowing she had hit her, is stomped to the ground by one of Ivy's animal plant creatures - an elephant. Using it's trunk, it throws Supergirl into an enclosed area, where she's attacked by leopard plant creatures.

Batgirl meanwhile, dodges Livewire's hits and then spots the garbage dumpster where her silicate equipment is at. She grabs a trash can lid and walks towards Livewire, knowing Livewire can't hurt her because the lid is covered in silicate dust so it can repel the electricity.

Meanwhile, Supergirl fends off the leopard plants, but again is tackled by the elephant plant.

Livewire meanwhile, continues trying to fry Batgirl, but the electricity doesn't phase the trash lid, so she goes all out and succeeds in knocking Batgirl down, but her shot ricochets off the lid and hits the elephant plant, setting it on fire. Ivy, horrified at her "baby" being set on fire, hurries up a nearby vine to the water tower slide, and turns the handle, sending water down the slide in hopes of putting the fire on her "baby" out. Supergirl is able to bash the plant onto its back, as it writhes in pain.

Livewire puts Batgirl in a choke-hold and just as she's about to finish her off, is tossed suddenly and Supergirl carries Batgirl off just as Livewire is hit by the water and electrocuted. Ivy is hit by a recoil and knocked out as well.

The trio is soon apprehended and Kara and Barbara watch it on the news, in bath towels, robes, slippers and all. When asked who was responsible for the trio's capture, Bullock explains it was "just a couple of rookies." "Rookies?!" Barbara exclaims. "You bum!" Kara cries. But Bullock then assures they have 'some potential,' much to their delight.
