This episode has great Music Direction and Composition.
  • After several attempts on his life, Harvey Bullock realizes that the only choice he has is to recruit Batman to help him solve the case and find the man who is out to get him. Along the way, the two take a tour through the dark underbelly of Gotham.moreless

This episode is extremely well-written and even keeps the real truth from the viewer until the last scene. The story is written is such a way that it keeps you guessing who the culprit really is until the end, and when you finally find out who it was, you can't believe it. Overall, the story is one of the best of any episode in the entire series.

Also, the music is top-notch and the best music that I have heard in any cartoon that I have every seen. No wonder this episode won an award for its exceptional music selection.

For these reasons, this episode is easily one of my favorites of the series and always a treat to watch no matter what the occasion.moreless
  • A classic detective story, with added music.

If you’re a fan of the old Moonlighting show, or even older detective shows then this is the one for you. Not only did it have the look and feel of such a detective show, but they even did a classic PI soundtrack for the show.

    Very impressive.

In this episode we learn that not only is Bullock a man, but a truly hated man. Ok, so I guess we already knew that point. But I do think that this episode did some great character development on the good detective, as we find out that he may be the loneliest man in Gotham. Even more so than Batman.

The nice thing out this episode is that kept it entirely in character the whole time. We only once go to the Batcave and that’s just so that Alfred can speak the amazement that the viewer is feeling that Batman is helping Harvey. Throughout the episode we are watching the detective instead of the standard watching Batman.

They even kept to the genre with the silly twist ending that many people would see coming (I’ll let you watch it for yourself). Overall, a very nicely done piece of classic TV. Even a non-Batman fan could enjoy this one.moreless
