In this episode, unlike those previously featuring Scarface, the dummy's mouth moves like other characters' (becoming rounded when pronouncing words like "what"), as if he were flesh instead of wood.
When Catwoman faces Scarface in the sawmill, the Ventriloquist is seen using both his hands to make Scarface gesture with his arms, only this would leave him with no hand free to operate Scarface's mouth and eyes, which are moving nonetheless!
Catwoman: What a pleasant surprise. Though I should warn you - breaking and entering is against the law.
Batman: You should know.
Catwoman: You know what's wrong with our relationship? You always let me get too close. (kicks him)
Selina: You know what, Isis? (puts her Catwoman cowl on) Extinction is for wimps!
Selina: I was the cat who walked by herself and the city was my hunting ground.
This episode is episode 18 on the Batman: The Animated Series Volume 3 DVD.
This episode shows Catwoman's return to crime, and she stays a criminal for the remainder of the series.
Catwoman: "The lady or the tiger, Batman? It's your choice"
This is a nod to the famous Frank R. Stockton short story The Lady or the Tiger?
Scarface: I tawt I taw a puddy tat!
Together with "I did, I did taw a puddy tat!", Tweedy Bird's signature lines. Tweety Bird (also known as Tweety Pie or simply Tweety) is an Academy Award-winning fictional character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons.
