This was such an amazing episode. It featured one of my favorite villains, Maxie Zeus. The writers did a great job of taking a new spin on Maxie and giving us a unique and entertaining story. The music was phenomenal, the art and darkness was perfect, and the fact that the Greek mythology was done right was awesome. This is easily one of my favorite episodes of the series.

  • A mighty Episode as great as the Gods.

A great episode and a great one time villain. Mazie Zeus was great with his E.D.C, his Costume, his thunderbolt and of course his machine gunned harpies. Not only that but the music throughout the episode was spectacular and very theatrical.

And of course there was the great ending in Arkaham Asylum. Batman Episodes don't get much better than this.

  • Batman as Lord Hades. Hey, it fits!

I don't care who says what about the Maxie Zeus in the comics. B:TAS managed to make him a great one-shot foe.

I also enjoyed this episode because of it's (accurate) references to Greek mythology. From the parallels of Batman to the Lord of the Dead to Arkham Asylum being a more "appropriate" Olympus for Maxie, it was fun then and now. It shows that the writers put in REAL effort into studying Greek mythology, rather than the more popular Roman incarnations.

Fun fact: Rome eventually conquered Greece and took Greece's mythology for their own, changing few details such as names (Heracles to Hercules).
