A beautiful episode from the creators of B:TAS really shows any fans of the series why the watch this beautiful animated cartoon.

Anywho, this episode starts out with the Main Character, an average man who seems to be having the worst day of his life. Well on the interstate he gets cut off, and decides to drive up alongside a different car and scream at it in anger, unknowing it was the car of the Joker. Who decides to follow the average citizen around. The character is repetitively followed until his car breaks down and Joker is on the edge of killing him, when the man tells the Joker he has a family. Out of a bit of emotion, Joker spairs his life for a dear favor, he takes his wallet, and says see you soon. 2 Long years jump forward, the main character has changed his name and Joker knows of it. A big ball is going down for Comissioner Gordon and Joker wants to crash it. So, he decides to use the favor. But the episodes main character gives a quick help signal to the Bat, who saves the party and ends Joker's bash.

Overall, this is one of the best episodes i Have seen. Mark Hamill's job as the joker is superb and I really do like the comic relief from the Joker, he plays a funny scary guy at the same time which is what is needed. The Bat, drops in for some good action and saves the day by a bare. Overall, this is a good episode that you, if a fan of the series should see.
  • An ordinary man runs afoul of the Joker, and, in exchange for his life, he agrees to help the Joker kill Commissioner Gordon.

So, this is the Joker's fourth appearance in the Batman Animated Series. He showed that he was a deadly enemy in the excellent 'Christmas with the Joker', but came across as a one-liner spouting, bumbling fool in the abysmal 'The Last Laugh', and a pretty eerie portrayel in 'Be a Clown'. This episode truly defines him as Batman's arch-nemesis.

There are many villains in the series who have sympathetic backstories, like Two-Face, Man-Bat, Mad Hatter, Clayface and especially Mr. Freeze. The Joker, unlike these characters, has no redeeming qualities, has no real reason for doing his terrible deeds, and does them out of sheer insanity, and is incredibly evil, which makes him undoubtebly Batman's biggest antagonist. He stalks a normal man for two years of his life, merely because he insulted him on the road, then tries to kill the Commissioner for no apparent reason. Now that he is accompanied by his female assistant, Harley Quinn(who makes a very promising debut in this episode), he is definately the most intriguing villain, whose mind is a complete mystery, and he seems both amusing and creepy at the same time, in a very good way.

This is a very funny episode, and yet a very disturbing episode at the same time. You feel the terror that the wretched Charlie Collins must feel and find amusement in Harley Quinn and the Joker's antics. The final scene is as amusing as the first scene is scary, and this episode is definately worth watching, and a classic Joker story. 5/5.
  • The Joker appears for the first time in The DCAU. In this episode the clown prince gets a poor soul to do a favor for him that will result in Gordon's death.

The Joker appears. What an episode this was. Harley Quinn another favorite villain appears in this episode and leaves an impact on us forever. The voice talents were great Mark Hamill will always be the Joker. His laugh everything! Arleen Sorxins also delivers as Harley Quinn and no one could ever have done it except her. A very great episode one of the series best that introduces us to a very important character in the batman world. Over all great episode. I give it a ten out of ten!!! !! :) Great job once again Paul Dini. You r Da Man!
  • The First Great Joker Episode

Prior to this point in the series , there had yet to be a great memorable Joker episode, we had a few good ones \"Christmas With The Joker\" a few below average ones \"Be A Clown\", but never an exellent one. Until \"Joker\'s Favor\". It follows an original plot and makes use of an exellent villan, the plot follows Joker threataning a man named Charlie Collins who ows him a favor, for the The Joker not killing him years ago. Once again Mark Hamill gives an exellent performance for The Clown Prince Of Crime. This episode is really the one where The creators figured out The Joker\'s character, which more likely than not has something to do with the Joker\'s girlfriend introduced in this episode Harley Quinn. She like everyone else has an exellent voice over that fits her character perfectly, she would help in making the Joker\'s character more interesting than what we have seen in previous episodes. Another thing to note is that this episode was written by the genious Paul Dini who wrote a lot of the best episodes. Well worth seeing , one of the definitive episodes to see if looking for The Joker, the best Joker apearance of the early episodes. Recomended
  • This episode is all about the Joker, and thanks to excellent art, writing, and espically voice acting it pulls it off in spades.

This episode is all about the Joker, and thanks to excellent art, writing, and espically voice acting it pulls it off in spades.

The episode introduces us to the character Charlie Colins, an everyman who's down on his luck, and a little bored and fustrated with his life. A few minutes into the episode he meets the Joker, and things won't ever be quite the same.

One thing I was impressed at was the consistent quality through the entire episode. There really wasn't a low point to the episode (even great episodes often have a low point). Each line the Joker's says, feels exactlly in character. Mark Hamil's voice acting is also incredable.

The writers/director/producer of this episode manage to strike the delicate balance between showing off the Joker's physcotic personality, while mainting his twisted sense of showmanship that is so intertwined with the character.

Every Batman fan should see this episode.

  • Batman, The JOKER and Charly.

Joker's Favor is one of the few best shows on Batman Animated Series. First of, because it features one of the best villians in the series THE JOKER. The second, the story is arguably outstanding, and memorable. Don Wallace aka Charly Collins gets driven off the highway during traffic jam and is threatened by THE JOKER for yelling at him during traffic. He promises to do a favor for him IF the Joker spares him. Two Years Later... JOKER calls him back in Ohio and needs assistance in wrecking a Party in Honor of Commisoner Gordon. One of my favorite parts is when Joker is running out of the party after fixed a bomb on Commisoner Gordon\'s lapel.

\"Guess I\'ll have to find a new hobby now that Charly out of the way.\" Bomb goes off. \"That came from outstide!\" Joker, Harly and his thugs run to the window to see that Joker\'s Van is destroyed.

But my personal favorite part of the episode is when Charly has the Joker cornered in an alley telling him he\'s about to die. And The Joker screaming for his life \"Batman! Batman!... gasps. See\'s that Batman\'s been hiding in the dark. How long have you been there?!\"

Overall, this is by far one of my favorite episodes in the series an will always remain a classic. I rated it 9.1

Poor Charlie Collins was having a bad enough day. Then the poor guy snaps after being cut off in traffic and tells off the jerk in the other car. Too bad for him, the jerk was The Joker.

This is a classic example of a Joker episode, in which the guy goes through in an insane amount of effort to pay back Charlie for his slight. The favor of the title is that Charlie must do anything the Joker asks of him - with his family being threatened, discretely of course. This episode actually puts the Dark Knight in an almost supporting role, as it's really the scheming of the Joker and the plight of Charlie that takes the stage. The Joker in particular has some great scenes, especially when he greets Charlie after two years, having flown the man in from Ohio to perform only a basic task, as though he were a old chum. It's also quite entertaining to watch Charlie turn the tables on his tormentor in the final moments of the episode.

As noted, this is Harley Quinn's first episode, and as such, she doesn't get nearly as much to do. However, the dialogue she does get is indicative of why the character would become so popular, such as when she wards off an unwanted advance from Detective Bullock with a nightstick.
  • An episode of extremely high quality.

This episode is a favourite of mine. In it, the Joker has a run in with an average guy, Charlie Collins. Poor Charlie is forced into promising to do a favourite for the psychotic clown after he threatens Charlie's family. After some quick thinking, Charlie manages to retrieve the Batman's help, and put a stop to the Joker's threats.

This episode was amazing, we get our first look at Harley Quinn. She doesn't do too much, but she gives the Joker someone to play off of. The Joker really gets to show off his craziness in this episode, he drags Charlie from half-way across the country to do something one of his flunkies could have done, then abbandons the poor guy to explode.

The Joker's exchange with Charlie is hysterical, talking to the guy as if he's an old friend. Which is one of the things that makes this episode absolutely tremendous.
  • Guy name Charlie was going home on a freeway, after having a very bad day, The BatMoblie and the police car almost cut him off the road. Then Charlie got mad and Cut off the other car who was cutting him, and to his horror he cut off The Joker!

This was The first Joker episode that ever air on T.V. Along with the first appearence of Harley Quinn. After Charlie encounter The Joker, The Joker wants him to do a favor for him. They would meet again in two years. Mark Hamill did an excellent job on playing the Joker. Joker use Charlie to help him open the door so Harley would bring in a big side cake for Commisoner Gorden. Only it would be a trap to kill him. Thankfully Batman safe the day. This episode is worth watching, and I enjoy it alot.
