Batman teams up with Plastic Man and the Freedom Fighters to battle alien invaders on their home turf.
  • Even by Brave and the Bold's standards, this was beyond silly and sometimes excruciatingly dumb.

Opening with Stargirl, Blue Beetle and the Mantis guy was the highlight of this episode, despite some childish antics from Blue Beetle, couldn't he aggrivate Mantis in a different manner? Regardless, it was great seeing Stargirl make her first appearance on the show. The main episode, it never really took off and was pretty boring with some "I can't believe they just did that" moments, however unlike many other episodes where they do something different and silly and outrageous, here it was just stupid. Batman and gang singing Yankee Doodle, with karaoke sing-along, doing their goofy dance, Batman's new costume and Barack Obama's appearance at the end, holy cow, I didn't like the Freedom Fighters, they have no personalities, oh, they're patriots, that's right, other than that we didn't get to know any of them, I don't even remember the names of most of them Dollman nags a bit, but comes around at the end. The villains were some generic alien race, I know aliens were common in this comics era the show embraces, but make them more interesting or cooler, Kanjar Ro was a great alien villain.

Plastic Man, I always thought his presence constitutes fun, and indeed there were some funny moments thanks to him, but this was not his best appearance, it was his worst, and his stupidity is pushed really far here, so he doesn't know who the currnt president is in the country he lives in? Oh no, completely believable, spare me. I may be spewing out some venom here, but there were a few good parts, fleeting moments of decent action, some funny one-liners from Batman and such, but this is one lousy episode, I'm sorry to say, next week's episode looks amazing however. There have been a few misses in this second half of season 2, hopefully there won't be any more duds like this one.moreless
