Owlman: So Red Hood was going to a Batman for help? Batman: Red Hood? Doesn't ring a bell. But maybe this will ring yours. (throws batarang)
Red Hood: The dimensional wave is holding steady. Huh? Which is more then I can say for my nerves. Owlman: You'd have to be crazy not to be nervous.
Scarlet Scarab: Plan "B"? But guys, you can't be serious about using Cyclone's bomb to wipe out their entire planet. Blue Bowman: And why not? Scarlet Scarab: Because after that, what other crime could possibly taste as sweet?
Batman: A world without heroes. My worst nightmare.
Scarlet Scarab: Totally. The others don't know what I'm capable of. One day I'll show them. I've got the true heart of a hero. Batman: (thinking) Hero? A possible ally? Scarlet Scarab: I keep it in a big jar at the back of my closet.
Blue Bowman: Who is this guy?!? Batman: I'm Batman.
Red Hood: Whoever he is, I hope my counterpart on your world will have a chance to repay you. Batman: Somehow, that seems unlikely.

Character bios: Owlman and the Crime Syndicate, Red Hood
Injoke: The title of this episode and part 2 are homage to the titles of the first two seasons of the 60s Batman series. The titles of the two- and three-part episodes would rhyme, (i.e., "The Joker is Wild," "Batman is Riled").
Dyna-Mite: I know Owlman. Owlman is a friend of mine. You're no Owlman. This is a play on a speech made by Lloyd Bentson during the 1988 Vice Presidential election. When his rival Dan Quayle mentioned that he had as much political experience as John F. Kennedy when Kennedy ran for office, Bentsen replied: "Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy."
