  • Greg Weisman's second go at a Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode is better than his last effort "Death Race to Oblivion".

Three Flashes, Barry Allen, Wally West and ay Garrick in one episode with Zoom as the villain, voiced by the guy who played Flash in the live action series. Sounds awesome, it is, though it takes a little while before it really gets going. The stuff with Heatwave, Captain Cold and Captain Boomerang and hw they missed Flash was fun, at least I think that's who they were, been months since I saw the episode thanks to CN's erratic schedule and long hiatus. Flash is one of my favorite heroes, I can't believe he hasn't recieved more recognition, but apparently they're moving ahead with the live action movie. The action in this episode, I mean, the stuff with Captain Cold and gang is okay, but the final battle is amazing.

By the way how can Batman and Flash endure touhing lava? And how can Flash create ice by running really fast and touching a wall while running? Who knows, maybe it's possible, or maybe not. And by vibrating their hands they can stab people, and the people survive, I would've thought that would be an instant death, apparently it take some time for the victim to die. The fight between Zoom and Flash is awesome, one of the best action scenes I've seen from the series, naturally employing their speed powers for some cool moments and a great chase scene. I didn't like "Death Race to Oblivion" that much, but Greg Weisman really did a great job here, and I'm looking forward to his work on "Young Justice". Hopefully he will have yet another go at a BATB episode, he is a talented writer, there's no doubt about that, the recent Green Arrow short, that he also wrote, was the best DC Showcase short so far,in my opinion. Anyway, this is a great episode for Flash fans.moreless
