Batman goes looking in the Amazon for a missing Ray Palmer, the scientist who was once the Atom. When Batman also disappears, Aquaman recruits Ray's successor, Ryan Choi, to help him find the Caped Crusader and the Tiny Titan.

Clever opening aside, this was predictable and boring as hell, only topped in tedium by a later episode.

"Poor"

Batman: The Brave and the Bold ends it's more or less season 3 winning streak with this one and at least two following episodes whch frankly aren't much good, seriouslym what's up with the episodes, it seems they only put some energy into the openings, speaking of which, this one was quite funny, I remember reading about it, it's a sitcom with Aquaman, his family and wacky neighbor Black Manta, terrific concept, not as hilarous as you'd imagine, but fun. The main episode deals with Aquaman as well, once again teaming up with Ryan Choi, The Atom, to track down Batman and Ray Palmer, the other Atom. They accidentally shrink and have to traverse a jungle to save them. Okay, here we go, shrinking episode, I mean, these are always so predictable, seriously, must there be an encounter with a massive spider in ach an every one of these stories? Let's see, DuckTales, Quack Pack, Mummies Alive, Mighty Ducks, Goof Troop, Power Rangers, the lit goes on. I was just waiting for it to appear, it's not impressive anymore, yeah, sure, I suppose facing a giant spider would be amongst the most terrifying things ever, but it's so old and overused, not to mention it's hard to animate a decent action scene featuring one, therefore it's at least well done here, it's too bad they already had a big spider fight in...I think it was the "Revenge of the Reach!" episode.

The villains, who looks like The Simpsons, weren't threatening at all, and again, predictably enough, the main guy or whatever is actually evil, I did like the princess though. Choi wants to quit as the Atom, but man, do you think there's a possibility he'll change his mind on this adventu...yeah, he does. So what works? Aquaman and The Atom(Choi) are actually a great duo and there is some fun banter between the two, and Aquaman as usual gets a couple of funny lines. I just wish I'd enjoyed this episode a lot more, it's not the worst one, that will air later, and it is way more boring than this. "Sword of the Atom", what sword BTW?, is really lame, has a couple of alright moments and a fun opening, but this is not one of those epiodes I'll rewatch over and over again, heck, I don't want to rewatch it even once. This is e final season, they can't churn out junk like this, oh, but they do, the next two episodes are bad as well, bummer.moreless
