  • Fantastic teaser opening, the rest of the episode is not THAT good, the season finale brings back Equinox and his origins are explained.

    7.0
Opening with Two-Face, excellent, great voice by James Remar, I'm not 100% on the design and the disfigured side of his face, but the opening is very enjoyable. Then we get the rest of the episode with Equinox, a good villain but the episode, from when Equinox falls into his machine, becomes a bit of a mess, and the final battle between Batman and Equinox is more silly than entertaining, a huge robot Batman vs. a huge Equinox? Okay, should be good, but the fight changes setting from the city to space, I didn't like that. The very final moment before and including the death of Equinox was great though.

Dr. Fate is here as the guest hero, along with several others, but it's not terribly special. I don't know what to say, I don't hate the episode, it has it's moments of greatness, including a brilliant opening, but as a season finale it's nothing special really. A bit disappointing when compared to the mid-season finale with Owlman and Joker, but Equinox's demise was well done and gave the episode one truly outstanding moment, besides the Two-Face opening.moreless

    • Two Face: Here we are again, Batman. Face to Two Face.
Batman: The warden at Arkham Asylum was worried, Harvey. Seems you disappeared without leaving a note--just two guards in intensive care.

    • Two Face: You.. cheated, Batman.
Batman: Sorry, Harvey. But justice isn't a two-way street.

    • Batman: Hungry? Then how about a knuckle sandwich? And a side of Nth metal.

    • Dr. Fate: We must investigate further at...
      Dr. Fate/Batman: My tower./The Batcave.
Batman: We should make use of the superior tools for the job.
      Dr. Fate: Agreed.
Dr. Fate/Batman: The Eldritch Scrolls!/The Bat Computer!
      Batman: State-of-the-art crime lab.
Dr. Fate: All-Seeing Eye of Octorum.
      (the monsters attack)
Batman: Right. The tower it is.

    • Dr. Fate: Will you hear our pleas?
Batman: Listen. we've got major problems!
Typhon: There's more than a little chaos in this one, Nabu. I like him.

    • Dr. Fate: With your permission, I'll borrow all your powers and skills, in the faint hope that combined into a single hero, they may give one of us the necessary edge to defeat Equinox.
Plastic Man: So who gets the powers?
Aquaman: A battle royale against insurmountable odds? A clash of titans? My friends, the choice is clear.
Batman: Fate gets the powers. Only he has the discipline to control such a force.
Aquaman: I was... going to say that.

    • Aquaman: Bash him in the blowhole for us, Batman!
Plastic Man: Don't you mean Batmonolith?

    • Equinox: (as Batman punches him) I suppose that balances the books, Batman.
Batman: By my count, there's still a matter of interest.

    • Dr. Fate: We need a plan.
      Batman: You're right. I surrender.
Dr. Fate: That's not a plan!

    • Batman: Good work, guys. Justice wins the day thanks to the Brave and the Bold.
