I liked the first Captain Marvel appearance, "The Power of Shazam!", but I wouldn't say it was among the best in the series, I didn't like the british villain who looks like Eddie Hitler from Bottom, he returns here, but he is not the main villain, instead we get the Monster Society of villains, but they're hardly in it, Mr. Mind is the main baddie, and once again, I applaud the creators of the show for taking these laughable, ludicrous villains, and making them, or at least attempting at making them into credible forces to be reckoned with. I think Mr. Mind is just too "out there" to be taken seriously, even with the cool menacing form he takes on late in the episode, so the writer treats the whole thing exactly as it should, it's a comedy, though with the right amount of seriousness, this seems like two episodes crammed into one, we have the Marvel family dispute that goes on, and we have Batman getting younger and younger as time progress. The latter plot is pretty funny, though I think they could've done more with Batman as a weird, geeky teenager, Batman fighting Mr. Mind as a kid and eventually a baby, is hilarious, especially Mr. Mind's reaction to it all.
There seems to be too much going on at times, and I like Captain Marvel, but the villain turning the family against eachother, is predictable and a tired plot that's been used over and over again in various other show, thankfully the Batman age regression stuff works well. It is an enjoyable episode, I didn't like any of the villains besides Mr. Mind, and the more touching moments didn't really work for me, but the comedy is more hit than miss and it's another solid episode for Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
