Batter Up! is a short film based on a true story produced by Webstar
Films. Only 13 minutes long, it starred Jessica Tate. It centers on
softball player Gabi Reynolds, a high school softball player who scores
her first home run during the 9th inning of a game. Before reaching the
home base, however, she tears her ACL. The umpire refuses to replace her
with a pinch runner leaving the opposing players torn between helping
her or losing the game. This poignant real-life tale of heroism in
sports was directed by Josh Webber.
