  • So very touching, one of the best in the series!

The relationship between the two brothers is hard to believe imagining most siblings fight and the age difference. It seems impossible sometimes for siblings to cooperate but this special pair can withstand anything. And that's what makes this so very touching, it's because Wen was able to stand through all this, though of their close relationship. I totaly think that this ep showed how much their relationship affects the whole plot. Of course, Marda B was aware of this relationship and so was Cain. Seemed like Enjyu did not think that far. Perhaps there might've benn a difference if Wen haven't wasted his time battling Li, they would've reached Biarce quicker, and Li probably would've gone to the cat statue as well, and maybe getting a fifth b-energy, therefore without Terry having to worry about using his, but there goes the good part about remembering the good old times. But they probably combined their b-daman again...

This episode, as I said previously, was probably one of the most important and special episodes I have ever seen in my life. It's definately in my top tens, why? There was great character developement, a great twist and a weird/strange/awesome/sad plot, things are revealed in this as well, and is one I'd suggest everyone should see. I think Li took acting lessons, it sounded so real. So congrats to the voice actors.

Wen Yong Fa and Li Yong Fa are probably one of the solid reasons why this show is so attracting to me and perhaps other fans of the show. Usually every anime has the same things that might happen, a hero, a main villain, a good plot, a solution, and wonderful friendships and love. I always look to the different parts about each show, and I have seen one of many of this show's new and great changes to the usual routine. So, this episode is a must see! Even though it is so very painful... Thanks for reading about this, I seem to have different opinions everyday about this ep...moreless
  • Enjyu convinced Li Yong Fa to rejoin to Shadow Alliance (now Neo). Afterwards, Li challenged his older brother, Wen, in a fight-to-the-finish. A very shocking plot indeed! Confused, Wen said \"you complete me\" to Li but the battle continued.moreless

As for me, this episode is the best there is in Battle B-Daman Series 1. From the plot to the dialogue, it's so perfect. The "Li and Wen survivor duel" is a so must see! Every movement is breathtaking. Surely, any Battle B-Daman fan wouldn't want to miss this episode.
  • Wen Yong Fa at his best

Brad MacDonald did a wonderful job with this episode. His character is one of the most complex in the whole series and has a wide range of emotions that can change from one second to the next. Here, we see just how much Wen has grown from his time with the Shadow Alliance. He has come to value his friendship with Yamato and the others and truly believes they can win the fight against Marda B. As a person, he’s become more compassionate and thoughtful. Of course, we have seen these qualities several times since he joined the good guys, but this episode really emphasizes how much he has matured. Wen, who is normally fun and lighthearted, had some of the most profound lines I’ve heard on Battle B-Daman so far. He really stood out and made “With Friends Like These” great. At one moment he was confused and angry, yelling at Li and asking him why he joined the Neo-Shadow Alliance. The next moment his voice was gentle and near tears as he told his brother that he completes him. The relationship between the Yong Fa brothers has been one of the biggest draws of the show for me, and this was also explored in detail. You can really see how much they care about each other, especially on Wen’s side, and even the enemy worries about their close bond.moreless

    • Wen: How can I go on without the other half of my spirit?

    • Wen: (To Li) All these years, you've been closer to me than just a brother. We're like two halves of a whole. The more I think about it, the more I have to say, you complete me... that's what makes this so hard.
      Li: I was right.
Wen: (Head down) Yeah, right about what?
Li: You're a kind person, brother.
Wen: (Looks up at Li) Huh?
Li: Very kind and very foolish! (Shoots a B-DaBall at Wen's blaster and then at his shoulder; Wen falls to the floor a little and grabs his arm) I told you from the beginning you can't win. If being family means being carried away by your emotions and if being your brother means going weak in the knees and giving up my tactical advantage, then I don't want it! (Takes off bandage given to him by Wen) I am a warrior!
      (Wen looks shocked)
Li: Heh. See ya around, brother. (Walks away)
