    • The Death of the Jason CharacterAlthough this is the last episode of "Battle of the Planets," there are four more episodes of the "Gatchaman" storyline. The four-part arc centers around a fatal condition for the Jason character. Instead of dying peacefully, he goes after the enemy by himself, eventually leading the team to the underground secret base. Our heroes finally defeat the evil ones, and as the team emerges from the destroyed enemy base, the Jason character's body is missing and never found. He is presumed dead.
