  • The last two episodes are some of the worst yet in the series.

This episode has extended pointless scenes that will have you squirming in your seat. There is an obvious contrivance that is pushing one of the main characters into a resentful anti hero as quickly as possible. There are extended pointless scenes including getting dressed, brushing teeth, disposing of unwanted medication. The overall touchy feely emotional exploration of the characters to highlight weaknesses and human frailty everywhere is grating. It seems the highlight of this show is the rather mundane political actions which result in not much at all. The writers are telling us about the crumbling resolve in the fleet which is not much fun viewing, and to add to that, the narrative and dreadful pacing of the episode is simply horrific. Currently the only reason to watch this episode is to maintain the story in the hopes that eventually some good writing will happen to end the series on a high. This series has potential, but you would not see it from viewing this episode.
