I have a tattoo based on Kara / Anders tattoo... it is actually larger than hers is. I really liked the wing idea, and the constellation. Mine has the similiar style wing (except larger) and the constellation Aquarius. I got this done cos my bro passed away last year and I liked the idea of just one wing (since he is no longer with me) and his constellation... kinda connecting his life to the stars. I dunno if its helpful to see a similiar design and how it came out, but here's a pic. I am really satisifed with it, I went to my usual tattoo artist in Denver and he did an awesome job. Anyway from one BSG fan to another!

Nice idea Lei K, I had been using one of those transfer tattoo sheets to test out the size and design but the adhesive gave me contact dermatitis after about 5 hours of it being on. It went down alot now so hopfully I can get set up for monday to get it done.

By the way, how much did your tat cost? I was priced at $150 only cuz the guy who is doing it comes into my restaurant and some of the employees know him. Everywhere else especially ybor city here in tampa wanted over $350

    Thanks

It cost $270 but I go to Denver's top stuido so their artists are in high demand and typically charge more.

well it's done. I got it last night when a handful of friends decided to get their own.

Initially on paper the consensus was that it was an interesting design considering none of them knew about BSG.

After getting it done, I've got nothing but sincere compliments from many people in and outside of the tattoo world.

I'm pleased with the design although secretly I wanted do the full length version like the actors did but ended up with an 8.5 inch version covering a good portion of my arm and shoulder.

I'll post the pic soon when it heals a bit more.

OK here you go. the ring is actually round just a bad angle. I guess you could plug in your own constellation and colony symbol.

Wow, that does look pretty awesome. I like the size better than the ones in the show, and the constellation thing is a good idea.

I think both of those tats look awesome

I was thinking of using the new bsg promotional logo as a shoulder tat. The one that's "spikier" than the old version on the emblem
