After recovering from his ordeal in the airlock, Tyrol becomes involved in a labor dispute that leads to a strike. The title refers to the crew members who get their hands dirty doing the tough work aboard the Galactica.

Tyrol's labor activism is nothing new. We already saw him in the Season 2 finale on New Caprica spouting off on workers' rights. Now that the Cylons are no longer a persistent threat, the human fleet is beginning to fracture again. Should be an interesting episode.

I'm just curious, does anyone know what the people who go on a strike were doing?

I think that Tyrol needs to step back and take some perspective.  Occupations that are deemed necessary (Ie. doctors, police, ambulance) are not allowed to go on strike legally.  So if the service that these people are doing is so necessary that they haven't had a break for 1 year? 3 years? (I can't remember how long the preview says they were working) then there is possibly a reason for it.

In any armed service such actions are considered muntiny
Which not something that any comander will take lightly it will be interesting to see how adama handles the situation.

"Labour dispute" - doesnt sound like military folks going on strike. Must be one of the civilian labour groups. Any details on who ? It is very interesting to get more insight on how the group of ships and their economy works - I loved that Black market episode - don't remember what it was called.

The title was "Black Market." It aired in Season 2.5.

I imagine you are correct in assuming it's probably non-military related, which is why I believe Tyrol gets thrown in the brig.

Wait. After his mini speech in "A Day in the Life" about how the deck is short handed, he's leading a strike? Or is he against the strike? I'm confused.

Naw I just think the strike affects a key industry for the fleet, running from the cylons no time for labor disputes equals mutiny.  On another note anyone notice how much Jamie Bamber is getting around the tube?  I've seen him on Cold Case and The Ghost Whisperer nice to see our favorite stars branch out.

That was obvious to me in the last episode.
